Looking back on your younger years, what did you worry about/put too much emphasis on that, in hindsight, wasn't that important?

The actual wedding day. Nobody gives much of a shit about the nice touches and details.

GCSEs... Literally no impact on life whatsoever

Whether my nose was shiny
Little blonde hairs on my top lip
Boys and whether they liked me
What my parents thought

Basically worrying about what everyone else was thinking about me and wanted from me instead of working out what I was thinking about and wanted

CatrinVennastin · 26/04/2021 22:54

Trying to please my parents as what ever I do and how ever far off the rails my sister goes she will always be the favourite child who can do no wrong.

Puffalicious · 26/04/2021 22:55

Having the "right" shoes/ handbag/ clothes. Spent too much money on looks and too little on experiences.

That’s just not true for a lot of people. Lots of jobs have minimum GCSE requirements.

Trying to fit in

Puffalicious · 26/04/2021 22:58

Oh, and staying with men who i would never end up with. Why did I worry about their feelings and disregard mine?!!Confused

ThePlantsitter · 26/04/2021 22:58

Home baking iced buns. Is a whole day's activity when you can buy 6 for 99p. Ditto macarons.

Boys.

SusannahMartin · 26/04/2021 23:01

I always worked too hard. I'm successful now and it's certainly connected but if I had my time back I'd put in less effort. I'm trying to do that now

The perfect wedding. Turns out it will never be totally perfect and nobody cares anyway.

What people think of me. It affected and still affects everything I do, from what I say to how I dress. Less so now but still.

BrownEyedGirl80 · 27/04/2021 10:22
