What’s your favourite musical instrument to listen to?

I always wonder if people experience instruments in the same way. For me - piano for story telling, violin for emotions. What’s your favourite?

Flute.

I love the piano but agree with you about violin. Probably because I regret giving up learning to play it.

Woodwind in general. (Although not bothered about Sax in a lot of stuff)

This is a hard question for me to answer. All instruments are special but they each have their own way of demonstrating emotion through the music. Surely it's more about the music itself and how the composer has orchestrated the piece and how the instrument interacts with the other instruments rather than the sound of the instrument per se? For instance in some pieces I love the French horn but in Mozart I can't stand the sound of the French horn because I can't stand Mozart!!

The harp. So beautiful.

Love hearing the Saxaphone. Maybe a strange one but I absolutley the sound of bagpipes being played .

I love everything except a violin. Really can’t stand violins but my favourite is saxophone.

I love a steel pan band.

I love the oboe but also the human voice, especially a tenor

The violin by miles. I also love the double bass played with a bow.

Worst instrument is the flute. It hurts my head.
