Morning all! What are you up to today?

I'm just finishing my usual silent cuppa, then going to get dressed. It wasn't exactly silent this morning though; dd2's singing away to herself upstairs & talking to her Minecrafting friends 🙄

We're off for a walk to The Range since it looks nice outside & the forecast looks good (maybe bus, depending how long it takes to get out the door!).

There's washing to be done, and a few pots left over from last night but I'll do those when we get in.

I'm thinking of doing a fried breakfast for tea.

I expect the girls will Minecraft, or watch Minecraft streamers, when we get in so I'll have a couple of hours with one of my crochet projects.

What's everyone else up to? :)

Just having breakfast with little one.. Trying to drink a lukewarm cup of tea without being jumped over.. Got to make the beds, tidy up, get dressed. Go and do a food shop, make little one lunch, put her down for nap, try and do a workout during her nap, make dinner for her, bath time, reading before bed, put her to bed, wash and blow dry my hair, make dinner, wash up and then finally sit down at 9pm 😭

I’ve just finished my second coffee and about to get up and do some cleaning.

The DC have a swimming lesson soon so I need to get their stuff together. And try to get used to a swimming routine where they can’t go in the changing rooms so I have to take them home wet and in dressing gowns. Tips welcome.

MIL is yet to surface but DH will probably find her some gardening jobs to potter about with when she does.

And the DC have a surprising amount of homework this week, so we’ll try and battle through some of that at some point.

Oh and if it’s not too windy we’ll BBQ later GrinGrin first of the year!

We went for a lovely long walk this morning, popped to the butchers on the way home to get some meals in for the week and now we're sat down with a cup of tea.

DD has just gone off to ballet and then her dads until tomorrow afternoon. I'm driving halfway across the country today to collect something very special, small and fluffy Grin. Well, I will be if I get my butt into gear! Think it'll be a takeaway of some description when we eventually get home. Looking forward to a wander round some real life shops as well!

Morning! It's a lovely sunny one here, just finishing my lone coffee. DH still in bed which is very unusual, DS on his PS which isn't! Did all the garden stuff yesterday so we are going to buy some plants and a new outside light today. No real plans for the weekend apart from DS football match in the morning. It's so good to have football and scouts back on (see PS comment above). Might go for a walk at some point I'm so lazy at the moment, need to get moving.

I have my first hangover in over a year! I think it was worth it. So far all my plans to clean and garden have not happened.

We're taking the baby to the seaside to visit family he has never met. Really looking forward to it actually; we'll walk, go to the pub, see everyone.

WE ARE GOING TO THE PUB!! It isn't even a particularly great one (friend booked it) and we are only allowed a 2 hour slot but I CAN'T WAIT!!

Going into town to buy a birthday present for my dd's friend whose birthday party she's going to tomorrow. Feels a bit of normality has returned at last.

Procrastinating

What i should be doing is all the stuff around the house that no one else seems to see or to bother doing.

So basic boring stuff like laundry folding, washing up, hoover etc...

I've just been for a run and about to have a shower. Then taking DS1 to his cricket match while DH takes DS2 to his football match. Friends coming over later for an outdoor drink on the patio.

Sitting helping eldest kiddo with maths homework, then all the housework and washing - joy. And then the tooth pulling that is the rest of both kids homework. Plus a bit more cleaning and a roast dinner.

Eldest DD is in the third set for maths, and she's finding out that lots of the boys in her class dick about and are disruptive so she wants help to improve and move up.

Tonight, I'm off for a birthday soirée in a friend's back garden and I'll definitely deserve it by then! Grin

DH is playing cricket this afternoon (first game of the year and the weather is lovely). My best friend is coming over for a bbq in our garden.

Dd2 currently at ballet . I’m at park with dd1. She has dancing later and then a party in garden for her birthday with 4 friends . Dd2 is going to stay at their dads .

I wanted to go for a long walk after lunch but the weather isn't looking great so I'm not sure anymore.

Lots of catch up calls and zooms in the afternoon. Both here and back in the UK we're now allowed to meet in groups but that's no good when everyone I want to meet is a flight away, so we're sticking to zoom Sad

I will do some work in the evening and I have fresh gnocchi that will go off if I don't cook them by tonight, so looking for inspiration as to what to make them with.

my foot is improving nicely, so I did some of my usual household stuff and am now resting and watching a NASA live stream. Then I'll take care of the terasse.
DD is out buying doughnuts.

Morning

I had planned on going Eid clothes shopping but dh is working so we’ll have to postpone to another day.

Dd has got a specsavers appointment this afternoon to fix her glasses so we’ll have a walk around town, although it doesn’t have many decent shops mainly food outlets.

I’m making pizza for dinner so will get dds to help. They love helping to make them. Apart from hanging washing out and a pile of ironing that’s the plan for today.

I'm feeding the baby/encouraging him to nap. After that I'll sort lunch for me and my sons. And we'll probably go for a walk this afternoon. I'm going to try to watch shadow and bones on Netflix with DS2 at some point if the baby will have it. Nothing exciting really.

DH wants me to pickup some wine for a meal tonight too. He's taking his kids out for a day out so he won't be able to do it.l apparently. I'm not sure if they're leaving before or after lunch (hopefully before, as that means a quieter house while the baby naps).

I got up earlier than planned, and was a bit grumpy to start with, but am glad I'm up now. Not got lots of jobs to do as I did them yesterday, so had a cup of tea in the sunshine in the garden, and now having a coffee and some toast indoors watching Saturday Kitchen/mumsnetting.
Bit of washing to hang out, dog to walk.
Later I'm having my first COVID vaccination
