Where do you buy your navy blue tights from?

Dd1 needs new, navy, tights for school so I queued to get into Primark this morning only to find they only had black left

I've been browsing various options on t'interweb (including Snag), but wondered if there are any anyone particularly likes? She'd asked me to go to Primark because she knows they fit ok & tbf, what she has have lasted her well.

(Dd1's 14 and wears approx a women's 16-18, if that makes any difference 🤷‍♀️).

We get ours (DD also needs navy for school) from Primark or sainsbury

I really would recommend Snag - yes, they're more expensive, but they are comfortable and wash incredibly well. I'm a tall size 20 and I've thrown all my other tights.

Calzedonia

Check sizes for Calzedonia, they go up to 40 or 42 in Spanish sizes, depending on the product, and some are one size. I think 42 is a size 16 in UK, (but check as I'm not good at remembering this stuff). They are fine for tall people, one of my friends is 180cm. and always buys there.

Marks and Spencer. I only wear navy. I find the sainsbos ones have a terrible seam that I was constantly pulling away from my bits 😳

Snag tights are awful. Yes they stay up but only because they create an elastic band effect around your waist.

I'm a size ten, 5ft6 and I was very disappointed with them.

M&S. Wearing them now.

I find Snag really comfortable - I'm tallish and they're the only ones I've found that are long enough really. They don't ladder either. Better than m and s for me. Since buying them I seem to wear a dress for work much more often than I used to, as they're so comfortable.

I have bought my daughter some from Matalan, really nice quality. I haven't bought from there before but they were the only place with them in stock, I will definitely buy again.

DD -perfectly normal leg length - , finds M&S too short. If we go a size up they are too big. She has either Sainsbury, but they are quite thin, or John Lewis which we get at Waitrose. Not cheap but the best we found so far.

Snags definitely. I think I'm addicted to them but they are responsible for me wearing dresses almost exclusively after years of hiding my fatness away. They go right up to my bra and make my outline look sleeker if you get me?

I discovered Manzi tights, 70 denier, bought off Amazon but I'm sure you could find them elsewhere. I found them brilliant. They are a definite navy blue, not almost black, they don't snag or bobble and stay looking and feeling decent. They are also very reasonable. Size up though, I'm a size 10 and I bought large which fit perfectly.

Calzedonia here also. Their cashmere blend ones are super comfy and usually on 3 for 2

My 17 year old DD loves Snag tights, all others - Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Primark and M&S would either get holes or feel uncomfortable.

Snag. I only wear them now. The main reason I like them is that they stay up all day rather than rolling down from the waist. M&S sometimes fit but it’s very unpredictable. Someone will be along soon to say that all the people recommending Snag are plants. I admit it, it’s true , I’ve constructed a huge posting history over several years and many subjects just to promote tights .

Another vote for snag. They are brilliant for both me (when I wore them I was a size 26, haven't needed to wear tights since I lost weight though) and my very slender 13 year old.

Snag tights. Only discovered them at 23 years old and wish I'd had them as a teen! I'm 5'8-5'9ish and size 14-16 so always have issues with them hanging low. I find Snag tights don't rip easily, butter soft and super comfortable.

Another vote for Snags. They are a revelation!

Snag here too. I have thighs that are disproportionately chunky to my bum and waist and Snag are the only ones that fit properly and sit on my natural waist (but with enough give that I can rock the under bra look too if I want)
I'd put up with M&S ones for years and either my thighs felt like sausages in a casing or the waist band felt a million miles long. Once I discovered that bigger tights by most brands were just longer and not actually wider then I realized why stuff never fitted right.

I bought my first ever Snag tights a few days ago. I hate tights and normally rip them off the moment I am through the front door but I happily kept these on all day.

I love snags. I'm 5ft 11 and a size 20 and they are amazing they stay up and I have ended up making a tiny hole in one pair and it didn't ladder at all

Thanks all. We're going to try Snag tights & pop into M&S for some of theirs on the way through town today, so she has some for while she waits for the Snags to be delivered. Hopefully they'll be ok 🤞
