Inspired by another thread by HensTeeth44, here is a thread for lovers of fan fiction either writer or just an avid reader.

I do have some unfinished Harry Potter fan fic to share but I'm at working at the moment.

Dont be afraid to share your favourites.

I feel the importance of lubrication could be a good book.

I can't even watch Brokeback Mountain without cringing like a mofo. (Seriously that first time in the tent must have hurt like hell.)

DH and I were also discussing this in reference to why sex in water is seriously overrated.

I cant take water sex seriously since Show Girls and the pool sex scene.

I haven't seen that one. I think my equivalent was the pool sex scene in Cocktail.

I can't even imagine the salt-in-weird-places consequences of sex in the sea.

The scene in showgirls is a kin to a salmon out of water that is suffocating to death.

well - nobody is going to be in water (Remus already has that covered ) - it's going to be on the sofa. But it's going to be no where near so technical that I will need to cover if correct lubrication was used. It's going to be a more emotional journey with occasional words thrown in to remind the reader that it is sex. It'll be like if Monet was painting them having sex - an extremely blurry water colour of 2 pink, intertwined bodies.

Well, I managed to update one of my fics.

Onto the next one.

Well, the shag didn't span two chapters - though it did span nearly 2000 words. Full penetration did not occur - there was just a lot of kissing and groping and feelings and then a bit of manly mutual masturbation. They didn't have any lotion - but they were very sweaty so friction was not too much of a problem.

But that's the lot, they're going to spend pretty much the rest of the story in separate prison cells... and the dementors are really going to enjoy these memories.

Are you posting your Lucius fic simultaneously across both? I'm not at the minute because I've abandoned an Angel fic to write my HP one and I just think I'd drive all the people who follow me mad - posting a fic they're not interested in everyday while not doing anything with the ones they signed up to following me for.

I wouldn't worry too much about that @icantreachthepretzels, it's the risk you take if you follow/subscribe to an author rather than a story.

I never understand why people sign up to subscribe or follow anything - I hate getting notifications. I have them switched off everything I possibly can.
Having their phones dinging all day with updates on what fanfic authors have just posted must drive them crazy!
I feel guilty about the people subscribed to my HP fic because I'm uploading everyday and they must just think 'oh fucking hell not again'!

I post all my fics on both.

FF first then AO3 right after.

I do AO3 first because all the stupid anti-spam features built into FF fuck up some of my formatting. I get way more hits on AO3.

I did switch off most of my notifications long ago but I've switched a few back on again now.

Tbh, I only really post of FF.net to keep a presence on there. I write with AO3 in mind.

I wrote the aftermath of their manly mutual masturbation and their arrest last night - so I'll be getting on with the trial today and maybe even up to their arriving in Azkaban depending on how much I get done.. It means I have to write Umbridge today.

Yep. Marcus Flint is her cousin although neither probably knew they were related. The Flints had no interest in Cassie.

Ooooh! Just came on to read the thread and to post that I do enjoy reading Wolfstar (HP Sirius/Remus) fanfiction and then I realised the one of the WIPs that I'm reading and really enjoying at the moment is @Icantreachthepretzels fic!!! It's really well done and I am super excited about the next chapters to come - but I might have to stay away from this thread so not to inadvertently read any more spoilers! (Only realised by reading a few pages back in this thread that it was the same one!!!)
