Inspired by another thread by HensTeeth44, here is a thread for lovers of fan fiction either writer or just an avid reader.

I do have some unfinished Harry Potter fan fic to share but I'm at working at the moment.

I like slipping in my Britishisms to American fics. Wanna see if I get a reaction from it.

I do try to remember to say "gotten" for the inner monologue of Americans.

The one in Buffy that always annoys me is when Giles is a demon and in his car with Spike driving, and Giles tells Spike to 'downshift'. They are both British, surely he would say 'change down'

Considering Spike predates the invention of the motor car and fully well remembers the times when you had to crank the handle to get the engine to start, the idea that he can't drive a manual is laughable.

Sat at work bored out of my skull and dreaming. Time for AO3.

I'm trying to spend this evening writing. If the long weekend has bad weather then I want to get a lot done (bet I won't though).

I knocked out 700 words yesterday evening. Not bad. Monday is my writing evening - it's my night a week off from DC bedtime and I get to hole up and ignore DH for the evening.

Loving the writing mutual reinforcement.

Gonna try some writing but my brain is fried from a shit night sleep and work so I'm optimistic.

I've written 1435 words. I'm procrastinating big time - checking how many words I've written is probably how I waste most time. It's not even hard - when I'm writing it's not even hard - I'm just lazy. I absolutely powered through my first ever fanfic- it was 56 chapters and just under 150 000 words long and I wrote it in about two months. And now I'm all 'ugh - 1000 words it's such a choooore'.

My chapters were a lot shorter back in the day though - more like 2500 words, whereas now they're more like 6000. It takes so much longer to write a chapter so even when my word count is higher per day than it used to be I still don't feel like I'm getting anywhere.

I'm trying to Umbridge being a weird, supremo bitch but I just cant for some reason.

Just throw in a few 'ahem' little coughs and saccharine smiles and 'it's so silly of me but it seems like your saying ...'
Umbridge is never a full on out and proud bitch, she hides behind pink and kittens and faux politeness.

It started quite sweet with Castiel being turned into an octopus and Dean taking care of him.

Then Dean's tentacle porn collection was mentioned. Things got heated and there were suddenly tentacles in every orifice or rubbing things!

It happened so suddenly I couldn't stop myself reading it with a sick fascination!

I dont get it either, but I'm fond of Aliens so I cant really judge.
