I feel deeply satisfied today because I got 3 loads of washing dried outside!

How sad has my life become ?!? ConfusedGrin

3 whole big loads fully dried outside, 1st time this year (thus far previous best was 1.5 loads that had to be finished in the dryer)

Yay 😁

Please feel free to share any similarly trivial sources of pleasure

What is with the husband laundry saboteurs. There seems to be a theme developing... (though slurry spreading is one of the more obscure misdemeanours Grin).

No tumble dryer in my house. Washing goes on the line as long as the ground is dry ish I’ll peg out on Christmas Day...

No need to be so modest about your success OP. You have won at adulting Star

Can you come to my house next...

HelenaJustina · 24/04/2021 19:13

3 loads again today... ridiculously pleased

YouReallyAre · 24/04/2021 19:47

I did 4 loads today. I even hung the school cardigans/jumpers on hangers and ironed the school t shirts straight away - this has never happened before Grin

I keep looking around trying to find more things that I can wash tomorrow!

Ooo this is my thread !

I got all the children’s school uniforms from last week on the line today! Their socks went on my Socktopuses on the line too. They looked so happy bobbing around on there in the sunshine.

Glad it’s not just me that gets genuine joy from this these days!

Winglet · 24/04/2021 20:10

Socktopus!! I just call mine Ollie, but that’s genius.

I am another one who gets disproportionately excited about a washing line drying and realises that my days of youth are long gone Grin

Oh shit... had forgotten about deliberately blocked out the school ironing! Spoiled by the long Easter holiday. I was going to sit and Mumsnet while lunch is in the oven whines

HelenaJustina · 25/04/2021 13:05

Only two loads of washing today as well lightweight

Fnib · 25/04/2021 13:56

Question: does ironing soften line dried towels at all? I usually tumble mine but I've started hanging them out. Or do I need to embrace the crunchy feel?
