My mum reckons most people will be watching BBC. What are you watching? BBC for me and my mum (separate homes)

She looks so small all on her own. I wonder if she'll do a Queen Victoria and wear black forever now?

I’ve read it will be for 8 days.
@Rillington, its a funeral, not karaokee. No one needs you singing along. They have it covered beautifully!
Bbc, was ok until seeing Princess the first time, heart broke for the Queen when she got of the car. Didn't think i would be this moved.

@Tullyjune they're lay clerks of St George's chapel. They get paid £12000 a year to sing at church services, they all have jobs outside of the choir, according to the website one is a lawyer,
To answer my own question she's in black because she's not part of the choir but they can't have a child who would usually perform the really high bits at a funeral and not during covid.

I read this short piece about the Duke popping into local churches on a Sunday if he was staying somewhere.

The masks are giving them some privacy

comingintomyown · 17/04/2021 15:39

It’s so nice not having camera focus on dignitaries as well

BBC.

itsgettingwierd · 17/04/2021 15:40

Whoever is speaking now is terrified - he's shaking!

It must be so much pressure on all those involved to get this perfect for the queen.

Loveatortie · 17/04/2021 15:40

Also wondering if they are going to carry the coffin down the stairs.

HouseofWindsor · 17/04/2021 15:41

The coffin is being lowered? Or is that my eyesight ?

derxa · 17/04/2021 15:41

No you're right. He'll be lowered and interred inside the vault until the Queen dies.

Then they interred together at a vault on the side of St George's

CombatBarbie · 17/04/2021 15:42
