I've got literally nothing in the house and need to whisk something up! Help! Need some suggestions!
Got the usual cupboard staples!

Do you have any frozen veg? Eggs? Egg fried rice with whatever else I have is a staple for me in this situation!

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 11/04/2021 18:10

Tinned tomatoes, simmered, with a teaspoon each of paprika, mixed herbs, chilli seeds. Boil some pasta. Mix together. Layer some cheese on top if you have it and bake.

UCOinanOCG · 11/04/2021 18:12

What do you have?

This cheese pudding www.deliciousmagazine.co.uk/recipes/savoury-cheese-pudding/ With some frozen peas

Thebookswereherfriends · 11/04/2021 18:13

It depends what your staples are! If you’ve got tinned stuff could you make a soup? If you’ve got flour etc, could you make a soda bread to have with it?

Zarinea · 11/04/2021 18:13

Tin of chickpeas, whatever salad or veg you have, lemony dressing.

sgyh · 11/04/2021 18:13

I have
Tinned tomatoes
Eggs
Mixed veg
Rice

Not much really!

We just have egg fried rice on its own with left over roast meat through it. I guess you could put tuna through it?

joysexreno · 11/04/2021 18:14

Nigella marmite pasta

Omelet

HalfShrunkMoreToGo · 11/04/2021 18:14

Vegetable omelette

LBOCS2 · 11/04/2021 18:15

Peppers? With eggs, peppers and tinned tomatoes you could make shakshuka, which is easy and delicious.

Zarinea · 11/04/2021 18:15

Shakshuka in that case!

Mix tomatoes and veg, with plenty of salt and cumin/ coriander/ whatever other spicy bits you have. Crack eggs into it, and bake. Serve with buttery rice.

Notnownotneverever · 11/04/2021 18:15

With that list I would make veggie egg fried rice.

CarlottaValdez · 11/04/2021 18:16

We have just egg fried rice. Cook the rice separately. Fry your veg and then scramble some eggs into it. Add soy sauce, chilli sauce and ketchup. Stir through the rice.

sgyh · 11/04/2021 18:16

Ok thank you. I'm doing egg fried rice with an omelette! A bit random but we will be fed! 😂

If you have nothing how can you make something out of it? Very odd.

Notnownotneverever · 11/04/2021 18:16

Or I would nip to the corner shop tbh.Grin

CarlottaValdez · 11/04/2021 18:17

Or do a bastardised nasi goreng with fried eggs on top.

Cam2020 · 11/04/2021 18:17

Hunters spaghetti? Spaghetti, onion, garlic and anything else you can find fried off in oil.

Cindy87 · 11/04/2021 18:19

I would do egg fried rice - have you got soy sauce?

2bazookas · 11/04/2021 18:36

Cook spaghetti; in a steamer above the spaghetti , steam some chopped veg, frozen peas etc.
Meanwhile beat a couple of eggs, season, and make a quick omelette.
slice the omelette into ribbons.
Drain the spaghetti, mix in the veg and ribbons.

Other options; grated cheese/ drained can of anchovies/ sliced fresh tomatoes.

Navigationcentral · 11/04/2021 18:38

With those ingredients depending on spices ... I could do egg curry and rice. Or I could do sweet and sour vegetables with egg fried rice. I LOVE cooking as a stress release after long FT work days and particularly love pantry and freezer cooking!

I agree, the OP needs to look up the definition of literally. Also doesn't say in the OP what they do have Confused.

I don’t think the op knows what literally means
