Name Flora

Myself and DH have been discussing the name Flora Rose (surname Redman)

I personally love it but would like to hear other opinions please...

I think it's cute.

I really like it, Flora is a beautiful name, reminds me of a character in a book I loved.

I wasn't fussed until Andrea called her baby Flora in Call My Agent. Loved it, especially in a French accent! Rose is fine as a middle name (DD has it) but I wouldn't use it, Flora Rose is a bit sickly sweet.

The easy to spread jokes would put me off. Not pleasant for a teen...

I think it’s absolutely beautiful and is my favourite girls name of all time.

Unfortunately OH doesn’t like it!

My sisters friends DD is called Flora Buttery

That's not a current slogan, it's plant goodness now. I know it's a slogan from years ago, but I'd like to think teens would not be aware of this reference!? Maybe I'm being naive...

It’s a beautiful name.

I once taught a flora. I couldn't look at her without thinking about margarine. If you like it though then that's what matters. She will be your child and she can always shorten it if she decides she doesn't like it.

Also have you thought about Fleur? Similar and so beautiful.

In terms of the old marketing slogan I'm in my late 20s and didnt know that was its slogan so I doubt teens of the future would

It's a lovely name

I like it... but would never use it due to the margarine/ spreads easily link. No one wants a daughter who spreads easily.

The flora/ fauna link isn't that great either.

I love Flora but I’m not sure if Flora Rose flows particularly well.
