I saw the Cheeky Girls looking very miserable walking in the rain past the Starbucks I was sat in

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 07/04/2021 21:44

Facebook kindly reminded me it is exactly five years since my DDs and I entered a cake competition judged by Matt Dawson. They were 3&5 at the time and won some books. (As all the child entrants!)

RedrumMurder · 07/04/2021 21:44

Patrick off Eastenders
Matthew Kelly
Noel from Hearsay

All shit and z list here. Grin

Ravenspeckingearly · 07/04/2021 21:44

A very famous Hollywood actress who needed A&E services for her child. Didn’t want to wait. Thought she looked familiar, but couldn’t place her. She got a long spiel about being referred to social services for child neglect if she decided not to wait. Colleagues who could hear all of this through the curtain were quietly dying laughing when I came out and informed me who she was. Same rules apply. She’s not special because she is Hollywood and her child definitely needed to wait for treatment.

Seen a few. Anisley Harriot in Harrods he was really lovely chatted to us for a little while. Gary Rhodes on his mobile have a heated conversation with someone, in his chef whites outside the Savoy. The actress who played Alma in coronation street, it was right after she’d died in the show. She was in front of me at a cash machine on her mobile. She was saying “if one more cabbie shouts I look good for a dead person I’ll slap them”.
I also served Nick Faldo the golfer, his pa called the shop first to say he was coming in. He was nice enough, his children were extremely polite.

DeadButDelicious · 07/04/2021 21:45

Oh! I saw OB from hollyoaks in a local bar once as well. And Ashley from coronation st lived round here as well.

My mum saw Jarvis Cocker when she went to see Leonard Cohen a few years back and I am consumed by jealousy. 😂

lollipoprainbow · 07/04/2021 21:46

Brian Ferry and his family at the next table in a pub years ago.

GlitterBiscuits · 07/04/2021 21:46

Richard Osman in Cambridge. Much younger / shorter female companion.

Cornishmaiden · 07/04/2021 21:46

Paul Gascoigne sat in front of me on a flight back from Portugal. Same holiday we saw Rupert Grint and his family in a restaurant.

SpiceRat · 07/04/2021 21:46

Saw Rhod Gilbert walk past me on a zebra crossing in Muswell Hill. He was with his partner / wife.

SlatternIsMyMiddleName · 07/04/2021 21:47

I saw the band Curiosity Killed the Cat in a hotel reception in Newcastle Upon Tyne many years ago.

Rock and roll.

fizbosshoes · 07/04/2021 21:47

Mel C (during the spice girls fame 1990s/early 2000s)
I saw Rob Beckett at the station once
I was in the bank with a famous rugby player once. I've no idea who it was but the customer in front of me (middle aged woman) and the cashier got all excited once he left.

MrsMoastyToasty · 07/04/2021 21:47

Jacob Rees Mogg outside the local Greggs. FWIW I live in his constituency and he was canvassing.

torquewench · 07/04/2021 21:48

Loads of old footballers. Managed to insult one in a nightclub a few years back, told him he looked like a fat lookalike of who he acutally was, then realised it was actually him when a crowd had a selfie taken with him 😅 Martin Platt from Corrie at a race circuit. Guy Martin in a motorcycle clothing shop years ago (looked like he needed a good wash)

hellywelly3 · 07/04/2021 21:48

Also one of the cheeky girls works on reception in our local Mercedes show room Smile

GreyhoundG1rl · 07/04/2021 21:48

Alan Davies on the tube once, looking around to see who recognised him and getting no attention whatsoever 😂

Jaffacakeinmypocket · 07/04/2021 21:48

Neil Morrissey outside a pub near Kings cross absolutely wasted (just like his character Tony in MBB!) 😂

expectopelargonium · 07/04/2021 21:49

StreetCat Bob in Covent Garden.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 07/04/2021 21:49

Alexander Armstrong holidays near us, before all this pandemic nonsense it wasn't unusual to see him strolling down the road.

Beck30 · 07/04/2021 21:49

Hugh Grant in the Hollywood Arms in Chelsea
James Blunt was at the gate whilst we boarded the same plane back from Geneva - seemed happy to do photos with the flight crew.
Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin), not on a Stairway to Heaven but instead on one down to the ground floor of Boots in Westfield Shepherds Bush

Slackarse · 07/04/2021 21:49

When I was a nanny in London many many years ago, and was in the park pretty early in the mornings - the only one who would smile at me and say hello and a few friendly words was Davina McCall, when she was out walking her dog. I had no idea who she was, and no idea if she was even famous back then (I’m not from the UK), but those friendly words actually meant a lot to me back then.

Posyc · 07/04/2021 21:49

Early 90s one hit wonders Candy Flip. George Best stumbling out of a pub. Andrew Marr jogging.

YesThisIsMe · 07/04/2021 21:49

I was on my way to get a salted caramel ice cream from favourite local gelateria when I walked past Jay Rayner sauntering off with a salted caramel cone. “Great minds!” thought I. But when I got there the bastard had only bought the last scoop!

MummyJ12 · 07/04/2021 21:51

Saw Derren Brown in London, it was raining. We were taking refuge in Pret and sat on the window bar seats.
He walked into an umbrella and my husband joked
“Didn’t see that coming!”
He’s a psychic apparently?!
To his credit he looked at us and smirked.
