Yes even worse! I came home in tears yesterday. It was so so busy and the owners threw us under the bus. Then today the new girl that started yesterday passed out and was admitted to hospital (pre existing issue).

Thanks you lovely lot. It was a little bit better today (probably me finding my feet again too). Will probably be bad again tomorrow as we’ll be down a staff member and the owners are too stupid to realise that we were barely coping and should pull a couple of tables out to compromise. I’m seriously wondering whether I’ll hang in until the trailer comes!

Oh @Honeyroar, so sorry to hear that, that’s rubbish behaviour of the owners 😡 . Hope the new girl will recover fast and I’m sure that things will improve xxx

I know, poor girl. She’d had to drop out of uni this year because of her condition and is clearly having a rough time with it. She’s only 19 and a sweetheart. And I’m really mad that another young girl started yesterday as a kitchen hand (washing up) and they rang her up today, on a day that she was off, to see if she could come to help after the other girl fainted. She came in, and after she’d gone home the cafe owners were grumbling that she was too slow and they were going to give her one more day then probably let her go. Poor kid has only just started on the busiest week we’ve ever had! Give her a chance!

Sorry, I’m ranting aren’t I? It must sound ridiculous to those of you with proper jobs, but it’s too much hassle for a minimum wage part time job!

Completely agree with Rogue and Midge. It's not only a proper job, IMO it's an extremely important one. You are facilitating a lot of people getting back to normal (whatever that may be these days) and for some perhaps it could be the difference between another dark day and hope. And I'm soooo looking forward to when you set up on your own! Caaaaaakkkkeee!!!

Sorry you are finding your return to work difficult Honey. Hopefully this is just a blip and things will calm down over the next couple of days . It's not good to see your employers mistreating other members of staff though . Perhaps everyone was just having a bad day ?

@NeedToKnow101 so sad. She was an amazing actor and seemed like a truly fine person. She and Damien Lewis always came across as such a lovely couple and very much in love. I was shocked to hear the news.
