I have some stilton, no-one else eats it so I need recipes for one. I used some to make broccoli and stilton pasta which was amazing 🤤 But what else can I make with it? There are so many possibilities!

inappropriateraspberry · 05/04/2021 11:42

Just eat it with crackers.

Mydogisagentleman · 05/04/2021 11:44

Cook gnocchi and broccoli. Make a cheese sauce with the stilton and bake in the oven. You could also add bacon or mushrooms.

missymoomoomoomoomoo · 05/04/2021 11:51

Stuff a chicken beast and then wrap it with bacon

Topping for baked potatoes or on a steak?

drinkplease · 05/04/2021 11:57

Bin it, it's disgusting 🤢

CartTriesToDriveTheHorse · 05/04/2021 11:58

Stilton, leek and bacon tartlet

Stilton and chutney toastie

Stilton on fruitcake

Stilton, ham and walnut crepes

If I ever have any small leftover bits of cheese and meats like salami or chorizo I just add them to the middle of a bread dough and bake it, delicious!

PandaFluff · 05/04/2021 11:58

On top of a burger?

HKW81 · 05/04/2021 12:15

Ooh do you have the recipe for the broccoli and Stilton pasta please? Sounds lovely! 🧀

AintNobodyHereButUsChickens · 05/04/2021 12:35

@HKW81 www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/creamyleekbroccolian_84670 I just didn't bother with the Leek and chucked a bit of cooked chicken in. It was gorgeous!

Lovely on hot cross buns 😋

Frownette · 05/04/2021 12:48

It's really nice with apricots as a dessert

MrsMoastyToasty · 05/04/2021 12:50

Stuff mushrooms with it and put it under your grill.

Thank you, looks lovely!

AtleastitsnotMonday · 05/04/2021 12:56

I’d do cauliflower and leek cheese topped with Stilton and breadcrumbs.
Or put in a salad with pears, celery and pickled gherkins

somuchlaundrytowash · 05/04/2021 12:57

In the bin. It stinks 🤢

MyNameForToday1980 · 05/04/2021 12:59

The thing with stilton as an ingredient (eg in pie or soup) is that a little goes a long way, so it'll take a while to burn through.

The only way to eat stilton at pace is on crackers (or, you know, just in slices off the block).

AintNobodyHereButUsChickens · 05/04/2021 13:07

@MyNameForToday1980 see, I actually tried eating it straight from the block and I didn't like it like that. It has to be cooked into/melted onto something for me!

Mash 50/50 with cream cheese, stuff into celery sticks and cut into bite size pieces - v nice nibbles if you’re having garden drinks.

HarrietSchulenberg · 05/04/2021 13:09

Stilton and mango chutney on toast is glorious. Mango chutney goes on first and Stilton on the top.

BellaVida · 05/04/2021 13:15

Butternut squash and Stilton Wellington
Pear, Stilton and walnut salad or same in wraps
Melt it in the oven with figs and eat with freshly baked bread- yum!
