Well if budget isn't an issue, you were still hungry, and like having leftovers, next time you need to agree in advance what is being ordered and make sure everyone is on the same page.

Also watch as people are eating to make sure no one is taking more than their fair share before everyone has had a chance to take something.

Agree.

To be honest I always order the take aways here, I’ve no idea what the hell my husband would order and I’ve no desire to find out. He’d probably faff about cor ages asking us what we want and discussing it ad infinitum.

Where as I ask once what main dish does everyone want, in case they have any preference,. Then I order and I decide what sides and mains and how many, and I always add in a spare main or two as we like to sample rather than have a specific dish each. There is always tons left and we eat it the next day. It never goes to waste.

So take aways are always under my control. 😂

My husband likes pilau rice, I prefer plain boiled. There's always too much rice for me. I usually save half and give it to the dog the next day.

Before I get jumped on for animal cruelty. It's just plain boiled, which is fine for dogs. It has not come out of the dish so has not come into contact with anything spicy.
