My amazing new post-covid life. Anyone joining?

Sitting on my arse for a year in a house I hate in an area that depresses me has given me the kick up the bum to make some badly needed changes to my life. Some of them are mundane stuff, some life changing stuff, some trivial stuff!

Does anyone fancy joining before I embarrass myself by writing a sort of post-pandemic bucket list only for nobody to reply? Blush

Hoping we can keep in touch, check in around Christmas time and see how much of it we have ticked off...

Great thread.

Mine are:
Lose my covid belly. I started this year but it has stalled a bit. I’m exercising a lot more but need work on the food intake.
Keep my work/life balance when I go back to the office. It has taken me nearly a year to get into a good routine of work, kids, exercise and home. I am terrified that when I go back to the office I will lose the structure I have created and go back to constantly being exhausted and chasing my tail.
Continue to declutter. We have done a lot, but have so much stuff!!! The spare room is next on the list.

hi everyone, just wanted to recommend the book "Atomic Habits" for anyone looking to make lasting changes in their lives!

And best of luck to you all :)

Great thread! I need to make so many changes...here are the top ones:

Finish writing my book
Find some form of exercise that I can bear to do every day
Lose 3 stone mainly by cutting down on portion sizes (I suffer from portion distortion!)
Declutter house and garage in preparation for possible house move when youngest goes to uni
Continue with developing hobbies such as sewing and painting
Try to do meditation and gratitude every day

Can I join?

  • out my flat on the market and get it sold;
  • move house;
  • embrace exploring my sexuality: go on some dates with women and see where it goes;
  • start running again;
  • yoga;
  • meditation;
  • get some more therapy.
