I'm going on holiday tomorrow!!! 😃

I live in Wales and ages ago booked a week selfcatering in Pembrokeshire (just over an hour from home).
I'm so excited that we can now go!!! I don't care that non essential shops, pubs, restaurants and tourists attractions are closed.
We will have a different view, we can walk on the beach away from home.
Shopping delivery is arranged for when we arrive so we don't need to shop.
I've never been so excited about a selfcatering holiday!!!!

We've also booked a holiday. DP has entered a mountain biking event in some woods a few miles away from our house and the entry fee includes two nights camping and there will be food vans and music.

He'd normally just go for the day, but we're seriously considering making it into a proper break away so I'm going to go with him for the weekend so will be able to go for walks, watcg the races and hopefully if the weather is good, sit around in the evening drinking, eating and chatting somewhere other than our own garden.

I'm quite excited about it. Of course, if it rains, I'll stay at home do my own thing, but given how busy and expensive other campsites will be this summer, it seems daft to pass up the opportunity.

Not this weekend, but in the summer that is, so hopefully will go ahead.

I loved camping, mostly wild camping, but my knees are too screwed now for sleeping on mats or air beds etc.

I'm only 52, never expected it to hit me this young! Do as much as you can, while you can!!

We have a few days in north wales booked for whit week so I am hoping they want us and we can safely go by then!

I LOVE Wales & the beaches. I wonder if they'll be letting us in over the summer? Last time I drove down for the day, I badly sprained my ankle & ended up sleeping in the car, at the beach, overnight!

Excited on your behalf! Hope you have a great time. We're in England so have to wait a bit, but we're booked to go to Dartmouth in June and do a "grand tour" of Yorkshire with friends in August. Can't wait

I have also just booked a holiday for two nights for me and the family to treat the kids. Nothing much only an hour away from home but In a beautiful lodge over Easter (was reasonably priced as well much cheaper than a hotel!) just something to get us out of the house for a bit. The kids wanted to climb a few mountains this year so thought it might be good to get one of those in whilst we are there.

It really brightened my mood up yesterday.

@squashyhat where abouts in Yorkshire are you planning to visit? I could recommend some places if you haven’t yet got a full plan in place!!

The weather forecast is very mixed but I'm Welsh and used to rain!!!! I will be packing our wellies and some jigsaws.

We have a holiday booked for June but thinking we may try to get a couple of nights SC at the end of April just to be somewhere different, maybe to see the sea!
