I live in Wales and ages ago booked a week selfcatering in Pembrokeshire (just over an hour from home).
I'm so excited that we can now go!!! I don't care that non essential shops, pubs, restaurants and tourists attractions are closed.
We will have a different view, we can walk on the beach away from home.
Shopping delivery is arranged for when we arrive so we don't need to shop.
I've never been so excited about a selfcatering holiday!!!!

Very nice. My dad lives in Stepaside. We normally go at Easter (but I stupidly left Pembrokeshire for England).

Lots of local restaurants are doing takeaway so you'll still get to treat yourselves. I highly recommend the kookaba in saundersfoot. Enjoy !

We have booked a week in Tenby in August which I can’t wait for. The kids have already planned our activities for the entire week!

Wonderful OP I love Wales so much. Can't wait until we can go again. They are the best beaches close to us. Will be daytrips in our campervan for us until the rules are relaxed on 12th April and campsites open up.

My sister is coming to visit on Monday for a week, we live in different countries and the test/quarantine requirements between them have recently been lifted and I can’t wait to see her. I told a neighbour last night and she said ‘but nothing is open, what a boring holiday’ and she couldn’t be more in the wrong. Who cares everything is closed, there are parks and the zoo and gardens and takeaways to do!

Enjoy the walks, the jigsaws, and just being together somewhere that looks different!

So excited for you! We're in Scotland and have a break in North Wales booked for November that we hope will still go ahead - multiple households travelling from all over the UK so it might not go exactly the way we hope, but fingers crossed.

We are leaving after lunch .........the drive will only take just over an hour. I'm chucking things in bags and have a big smile on my face!!!

DD is packing up the Wii u and some jigsaws, DH is faffing with chargers/firestick and techie things.

Me and my little boy had a ‘holiday’ last night, we stayed in our camper in our buildings underground carpark, beautiful scenery.

@SimonJT I bet he had a great time too! I used to love those kinds of 'adventures' when I was young. We'd go and have a picnic... in our caravan... which was in the driveway 😂 happy days!
