Feel like there's a hair on my nose but there's no hair there. It's driving me nuts. Please tell me I'm not losing the plot.

All evening I've had a feeling like I've got a hair on my nose or like I've walked into a cobweb or something. Have washed my face, checked it in the magnified bit of the mirror and there is nothing there. Nothing.

It's driving me mad. I'm trying to ignore it but it's impossible.

Has anyone else had this?!

I get that sometimes. I think it's a nerve twitching or something.

Yep, all the time If your hair is long enough to reach your nose try giving it a good brush away from your face, I'm usually completely sure there's no still-attached hair that could possibly be touching my nose but then I'll brush my hair and the feeling will be gone so there must have been! Worth a try, it's infuriating though isn't it? I always get a hair tickling the corner of my eye when I'm washing up as well, I think the heat of the water must make the shorter hairs around my hairline curl so they poke into my eye. It drives me mad keep having to dry my hands to rub my eye and is usually solved my smoothing wet hands over my hair away from my face to sort of redirect the curls

I actually found this thread googling exactly the same feeling and created a user profile to post! I've had the same sensation for the last week or two and it's really irritating... Just wondering if you ever figured out what was causing it??

I get this too - is a really annoying sensation but I've always assumed something to do with a nerve

Could it be a long nose hair prickling from inside? They sometimes sort of curl round the edge of the nostril. Glamorous, I know!

Chrissyplummer - no there's definitely nothing there - it's just the strangest sensation.
LookdeepintotheParka - it prob its just a nerve. It's just that it came on so suddenly and happens so often that it is annoying. I'll have my nose rubbed away

Yes, it’s been happening after a few adjustments since going to chiropractor. I think it’s a nerve. Hopefully yours went away it’s annoying.

I get this too - but on the back of my thigh. As if there is a label from a nightie tickling my leg except Im not wearing a nightie. So frustrating.

I get this with hay fever/ cat allergy

I get this feeling when my B12 injection is due.

Probably not the reason for yours but worth checking B12 deficiency symptoms and if others resonate too then asking the GP for a check

I know exactly what you mean @LivinLaVidaLoki and it happened to me for the first time only a few days ago. Felt like a hair was brushing the end of my nose but there wasn't.

Experiencing same thing right. Ow and ended up here, with basically no good answer ! Hahha

So you wear glasses? Sometimes I get a hair caught between the lens and the frame so it's not on my face when I'm frantically searching for it but it is actually a real thing that I keep putting back on my face until I figure it out 😂

I never figured out what it was but the sensation just went away (I say as I desperately touch wood that it doesn't start up again!!)

Welp, same here. Been googling "feels like there is a hair on the end of my nose but nothing is there" trying to figure it out. Tried washing my face and looking closely with a mirror. Nothing there but sure feels like there is a hair or fuzz or something brushing across my nose tip. Started this morning, lasted off and on all day and here I am this evening and feeling it at this very moment. I think I will go mad if it doesn't stop soon. I will say tho, I am comforted by hearing that I'm not the only one with this issue haha! Thanks everyone that posted.

I get this on my nose and at the back of my mouth, the back of my mouth is a far more regular occurrence for me though.

Can’t believe this has been commented on so recently! Just did a web search and found it. It’s not my nose though, but my lower lip just to the right. I can only feel it when I’m moving my mouth a lot, eg eating. Was convinced there was a stray hair on it but there isn’t and it’s been driving me mad for two days!!

i am currently experiencing this but on my left side. All night I’ve thought it was a hair so I even shaved it and cleaned my face but it’s still there! Did you figure out what it was? It’s driving me mad

The nose hair thing, I finally figured out a theory is can except. Which, was an unreachably curly nose hair discovered finally with a flash light an my kids lol. Once found! I got that lil'mofo... But in all honesty, if I never let my face lady wax my nose hairs in the first place. this reoccurring curlycue would have never grown. Lesson learned in guess... Leave your nose hairs alone.
