Do your children look like you or their dad?

We are expecting our first baby in August and I'm daydreaming about what he/she will look like.

DH and I are complete opposites lookswise, it's almost comical. Hes very tall with olive skin, brown eyes and jet black hair. I'm a short arse with green eyes and that pale blonde washed out look thing going on . I wonder if our baby will go to one of the two extremes or somewhere in the middle!

Just curious really!

Two look exactly like me and one looks just like his Dad. No mix at all really.

All of mine except ds2 look like little clones of their dad. I found a photo of me the same age as ds2 is now and it was like ds2 in a dress and a wig!

My little boy looked like my mum when he was born then everyone said he looked like my husband, but with brown eyes like me. Now he's 4 he's looking more like me. Our 1 year old girl is basically a clone of her dad, and has bluesy/green/grey eyes, I'm really dark (half Asian)

DS2 looked like my brother when he was born but gradually morphed into DH! He has my sweet personality though

DS1 looks just like his paternal grandfather but with his dad’s blond hair rather than his grandfather’s brown. He even walks and talks like him. There’s nothing there from my side of the family at all.

DS2 looks like me but is tall like his dad.

I don’t think they look like brothers at all but others say they’re similar.

DS looks much more like me and most of all like my mum. He has my exact colouring and when he was shown a photo of me as a toddler, he got very annoyed and asked why we'd put him in a dress

DS1 looks exactly like me, but with DH's eye colour and build. DS2 looks exactly like DH, with my eye colour and my brother's build!

My DD looks just like me at her age (she's 2) in terms of face shape and expressions, but I have dark eyes and hair and she has her dad's blonde hair and blue eyes.

One son looks very much like me.
I can't see it but every single person says he is my stamp

People say that the other son is very much like Dh with a sprinkimg of me.
Dh is 6ft 5
I am 5ft .1
ds1 who likes like dh is 6ft
Ds who looks like me is 5ft8.
Dh is black hair, brown eyes
Ds1 is light brown thT goes lighter in the summer
Ds 2 is light brown hair that goes ginger-ish in the summer.
I have black hair!
Both boys had white hair until the age of about 5.
Bit of a mix going on!

Ds is a spitting image of dh right down to the blue eyes and build. He currently has blonde hair but so did dh when he was a baby so I’m expecting it to go brown when he’s older

Dd looks like a combo of me and dh. She has my colour hair, greeny blue eyes which is a mix of mine and dh’s and she has my build.

Your eyes and skin and DHs hair would be my choice on the order form

DS, 5, looks like me, av height but has Dad's slim build, wonky knees and weird feet.
DTwins, 1, look like me but a bit darker hair, morey build (fat) but tall like Dad.
All have their Dads eyes.

My DS looks like me. He has his dads grey eyes, but the rest of it I would say is me - until I see him with his father's sisters children, then I can see the family resemblances.

DS father has a DS with another woman now, who is more similar is my ex, dark hair, height etc - thier son looks so much like my ex - dumpy, bigger build, same smile, hair but with dark eyes of the woman who is his mother.

They have another DD due end of the year. Will be interesting to see what she comes out like.

My eldest looks likevme, and from some angles so does DD .DD & DS2 look like each other, so much so that the change your sex thing thing that went around a few years ago made them look the same as they do the right way round. The funny thing is I don think DS2 looks like me.

We have 6 kids and 4 are very much like me - especially our eldest! - but I don't think any of them look particularly like their dad

Well with our first I don't really thinks looks that much like either of us. She is more like dad than me I can see that. Some folk say she's her dads double I cannot see it 😆 I just see a gorgeous wee girl. My dh and I have similar eye colour and hers is the same. She has his amazing eyelashes and his bigger eyebrows lol I'm 5ft1 dh is 6ft4 I assumed I'd have tall children, but she's a little slim petite thing like me. My second is also a little tiny thing and looks even less like us lol I'd say maybe more like me, she has lighter coloured blue eyes than us but they are beautiful. I'm dark haired she's more blonde, dh was blonde as a child.

I know a few ppl that look very different and it tends to be 1 kid like mum and 1 like dad so the siblings look nothing like each other!

They look exactly like both of us. And they are the spitting image of each other.

They’re sort of a weird hybrid of DH and I - very flattering description 😂

Mine are a mix. My DD is pretty much my double, brown hair and very dark brown eyes. My eldest DS looks very much like his dad and my FiL but blonde (DH has almost black hair and FiL ginger!). My other DS is a mixture of everybody, he has dark hair and eyes but looks a bit like all of us! It’s so funny how genetics play out!

At 27, DS1 is a taller, broader, male version of me, only his eyes are a different colour. DS2 is the most like his dad in looks, height and build. DS3 is a mixture of us both. Two of them have blue eyes which was a surprise as neither DH nor I do. I don't think the three of them look particularly alike but everyone outside the family does.

Similarly to you were completely opposite,
DP is olive skinned dark Brown eyes straight brown hair,
I have blonde wavy hair, Blue eyes and am pale unless I sit in the sun a lot, kids have varied they're both boys so IMO they look more like him but on closer inspection,
Both have my eye shape (weird I know) I have big wide eyes but eldest has Hazel like a perfect swirl of blue through green to brown & youngest has Bright Amber eyes.
Both kids have medium Brown hair but eldest has my hair texture youngest has DP's
I swear both are his clones I just can't see past his face when I look at them but everybody else tells me eldest looks like me, youngest looks like him, I'm pregnant with our 1st and only girl as I'll be sterilised when she's born and I think the only thing that I'm waiting for is her eye colour I'm pretty sure she will look exactly like the kids rather than either one of us.
