I cry at most things Blush especially things like the Good Dinosaur, Up etc... but these are “grown up” and they still make me cry.

The spies goodbye in Agents of Shield, and the bit where all the adults are volunteering to die so that others can live in The 100 Sad

This is cringe and was years ago but when Sambuca died in Waterloo Road I was borderline hyperventilating 😂

FrenchyQ · 10/03/2021 20:52

Also when Charlie died in Lost

MumofSpud · 10/03/2021 20:53

I even cry at adverts (since having DC!!)
The last TV I cried at was at the last episode of 'It's a Sin'.
Films? Everything and anything!
What about 'Marley and Me' or 'A Dog's Purpose' - I ended up with a migraine watching the latter - I sobbed so much Sad

stockpilingallthecheese · 10/03/2021 20:54

@Soubriquet

Homeward bound when Shadow just gives up laying in the pit.

And then more sobs when he comes limping over the hill

Oh god me too! It was on again over Christmas and I was just in floods!!
@AnswerTheQuestionDamnYourEyes I made the rookie mistake of watching A Monster Calls on a long night flight. I assumed from the picture it was a lovely film about a kindly tree monster. It was not. I must have looked a right state by the time I landed, I was quite dehydrated from all the sobbing.
Hahahaha! I know exactly what you mean, I now insist on only watching it when alone!

Megthehen · 10/03/2021 20:59

Testament of Youth..the swim in the lake after WW1 - her fiance and brother both dead...the dreadful loss, horror of lives cut short....memories of maiden aunts (no men to marry), sepia photos of my grandmother's generation of lost brothers and cousins. Makes we weep. "Never give up" from the UK office too.

BeyondMyWits · 10/03/2021 21:01

Forgot the worst one... watching the last Harry Potter at the cinema... I was sobbing BEFORE the starting credits where Hermione made her parents forget she ever existed. That got to me...

JustNotFunAnymore · 10/03/2021 21:16

The bit in Derek when the dog has died.
Almost every episode of season 2 of Afterlife

Shesellsseashellsontheseashore · 10/03/2021 21:29

The Champ. I remember watching this as a young teen and crying when the dad dies and the son is yelling for him to wake up.

Marley and Me when Marley dies .

FirstladyKirkman · 10/03/2021 21:30

Final episode of "proper" Scrubs when JD is watching the home videos on the banner 😭😭😭

Watched the one today where they discover Ben has leukaemia and JD wells up at the end 😭😭😭

When Carla enters the bar and announces she's pregnant. When Keith proposes to Eliot in the bar. 😭😭😭

Scrubs is one of those programmes that can make you scream with laughter and sob your heart out. Epic programme, epic writing with epic acting 👏

Would highly recommend ZB and DF's podcast Fake Dr's, Real Friends. Very funny.

JustNotFunAnymore · 10/03/2021 21:30

In Greys Anatomy when Bailey and Ben are talking to Tucker about what to do if the police stop him.
As a white person hearing that made my blood run cold and I bawled. Still do.

FirstladyKirkman · 10/03/2021 21:32

Oh......and when Peggy died in EastEnders (last time I watched it) there is something about the extended intro to the theme tune that sets me off a good'n! 😭

tinkywinkyshandbag · 10/03/2021 21:33

Emma Thompson straightening the bedspread in Love Actually.

Arrowheart · 10/03/2021 21:33

The traffic lights scene in Bridges of Madison County. Watched it on a plane and had to be consoled by a stewardess.

FirstladyKirkman · 10/03/2021 21:36

@tinkywinkyshandbag

Oh god!!!! 😭😭 Never forgiven him!!

JustNotFunAnymore · 10/03/2021 21:40

Cheating as not in the title but the song 'Wires' by athlete makes me ugly sob after having a child in the neonatal unit.

Sulusu · 10/03/2021 21:40

Boromir, every damn time I watch it.

Avengers Endgame with Ironman, really RDJ should really have got some award nods for that film.

Homeward Bound, Shadow in the pit... I just go to pieces.

Finding Dory, sounds like an odd option, but I have a little one who is a lot like Dory. Parents of ADD kids probably get what I mean. Any scene with Dory's parents and their devotion to her make me choke up.

groundcontroltomontydon · 10/03/2021 21:50

Stevie singing Maybe This Time in Schitt's Creek

Bid876 · 10/03/2021 21:52

Dobby, every time “Haarry Potter” 😭😭😭😭

Tony Stark in the last avengers movie.

Glenn in the walking dead.

Macaulay Culkin in My Girl

A couple of movies when I was younger The 5 Sullivan brothers ( a bit like a Saving private Ryan movie (also made me cry)) & Who will love my children, about a mum dying and trying to find a home for her children. Both based on true stories 😢

Beaches

I watched something recently I cried at but can’t remember what it was.

Vera dying in Corry
Jack dying in Corry
Mike Baldwin dying in Corry

I’m sure there are dozens more.

Uiseag · 10/03/2021 21:54

Hachi for me too....especially as it's based on a true story.

The English Patient scenes in the cave, and the music.

tobee · 10/03/2021 21:59

When Oliver Twist returns home to Mr Brownlow and Mrs Bedwin says "he's come back, sir! I knew who would!"

Last scene of the David Lean film. I'm getting teary now.

tobee · 10/03/2021 22:00

I knew he* would

Confused
eandz13 · 10/03/2021 22:31

When Robert DeNiro reverts in Awakenings.
The final elevator scene of George O'Malley in Greys made me wail.
Southpaw hurt to watch.
Gus' death and final letter to Hazel Grace broke me!

ivfbeenbusy · 10/03/2021 22:33

The scene in Sophie's choice

Schindler's List 99% of the film. I stood in the children's Block in Auschwitz and sobbed when I went there

BirdyBee · 10/03/2021 22:40

Land before time when littlefoots mum dies and never ending story where the poor horse sinks into the sinking sand/mud, cant even think about it without crying!
