Anyone else unable to sleep/still up?

I have to be up in less than 3 hours. I am not even tired in the slightest. Anyone else still up or unable to sleep?

55 mile per hour winds going up to 60 soon

Yes. Shoulder pain from surgery a week ago. I was hoping it would starting to feel better. Seems I need to just lie in bed/on sofa all day. Any small exertion and it’s agony. This is with arm in sling and minimal movement. I just need it to start getting better, it’s been a month since I hurt myself

A wide-awake DC and the very windy weather. Not sure which is worse.

Also wide awake... and feel like today's already ruined as a result. I blame wind and lockdown ( THE wind, not MY wind, so there's that at least )

Wind and stress because I know I'm not getting everything done, I'm dropping plates.

My daughter woke me at 3.30am because one of Bichon Frise wouldn’t stop barking! Poor little thing is frightened of the wind and, although I’d left a light on and Alexa playing calming classical music, she still wouldn’t settle. Two cups of tea later, I’ve reclined my chair and going to try and a nap, pooch isn’t barking anymore!

Woken up by one of the dogs to go out at 4.30, then the other one went out while I'm freezing my bits off waiting for them.
Can't get back to sleep now because of the wind

A normal menopausal insomniac for me😢 I feel sick permanently due to tiredness

I'm here, had my Covid vaccine yesterday and had thought I'd got away with no side effects - I've been up most of the night with aching , you know that cold to your bones feeling? I finally admitted defeat about 30 mins ago so went downstairs, checked my temp (38c) and am now back in bed in my dressing gown and a horlicks. Thankfully the shivering has subsided for now..

Glad I'm not back in work until Monday!

Our side garden gate fell off at the weekend. Now every small noise I hear I imagine burglars going through it to break in the shed. And getting anxious about how much a new one will cost.

we had a new one made by a local company, £100 including fitting.

Gosh, that's a bargain - where in the country do you live?
I feel like any quote I get for anything is so hyper inflated these days. I'd love to live in an area where prices were reasonable.

Menopause awakening here too - been awake since 2.50am and I could cry with tiredness. I feel really nauseous with it too.
Got to make lunches, get DDs ready for school, then 5 hours work, food shop, school run, make dinner etc. I am exhausted.

The wind is crazy. I can hear wheelie bins and possibly other debris flying down the street. I got 5 or 6 hrs sleep in the end, it could be worse.

£100 for a garden gate? Where about s? Great value. I live in London, so probably between £500-1000 😟. Got to sleep at about 5.30, then woken at 5.50am by. Aa skip lorry taking. Next. Doors. Skip. Who. On earth removes skips at that time of the morning? Made a terrible racket, reversing beeps, clunk clunk of removal for 20 minutes.

My sleep has been awful recently, but last night I did everything right.. no caffeine all day, no wine in the eve, relaxing bath and asleep by 10.15pm which is so early for me. Then my DD had a coughing fit at 3.45am and I couldn't go back to sleep.
Have just come downstairs as I was on the verge of tears in bed. Terrible start to the week, I'm gutted.

I’ve had such a broken night. My baby had a bad night last week where he was up every 45 minutes. He’s gone back to sleeping through, but every time he has a bad night it takes me about a week before my sleep recovers! I used to be such a good sleeper and now the tiniest thing wakes me and I find I’m awake several times every night.

@CreosoteQueen I'm sorry to hear that 😒 how old is your baby? I've always been a bad sleeper but it was made much worse when I had my daughter. I hope you don't have a full on day today?

Work stresses have caused me to wake up only about 90 mins after going to sleep. If I don't go back now it will be a record.
I've come down to the sofa, I think I have negative sleep associations with my bed at the moment. Really hoping I go back. Will use the calm app.
