Anyone else unable to sleep/still up?

I have to be up in less than 3 hours. I am not even tired in the slightest. Anyone else still up or unable to sleep?

The only thing that’s reassuring me now is how bloody tired I’ll be by about 9:30 tonight and crawling into bed. I don’t think I’ll get back to sleep now as I need to be up at 7

Wigmic · 10/03/2021 04:19

Well it was the only vaguely heavy thing I think of in my blind panic. DP had a giggle as well when I woke him up and told him. He thinks I should have used the bedside lamp but I disagree, the lead would be counter intuitive in a fight.

Can you tell I’ve been up over thinking tonight Grin

Been awake for two hours with my 6 month old. This is not like her she's usually fairly easy to settle!

Arachnid has done a runner. No idea where, but guessing behind the wardrobe. roughly 1.5 hours before I have to get up, so have now given up on idea of sleep. Hugs to all still up.

I was woken about an hour and a half ago by what I'm sure was a really loud bang but no one else in this house seems to have been woken, so I'm unsure whether I've dreamt it Confused either way, my heart was pounding and I've been unable to drift back off. Fortunately I'm off work today but I really could have done with a lie in!

MissSmiley · 10/03/2021 05:19

@heidihigh that's happened to me before and it was a dream

youmakemydreamscometrue · 10/03/2021 05:47

I've got a sore neck/shoulder that painkillers aren't touching. I finally nodded off just after 2.30 and it just woke me up again. Desperately trying to get back to sleep before DH comes in from work which always wakes me up no matter how quiet he tries to be.

I really wish I saw this thread earlier! I woke up at 3 and haven't been able to go back to sleep. Mainly thinking about work as I have some deadlines looming. Generally a bad sleeper anyway. In the end I got up at 5.30 after being almost in tears at the thought of how tired I'll be today.

Jasmin82 · 10/03/2021 06:29

@snoopy8 Hugs. Hope everything goes well for you.

I'm still up. I've cleaned the kitchen, unstacked and restacked the dishwasher, finished reading the Sunday papers, tidied the living room and dining room.

I'm chairing a meeting at 10 so I'm going to try to get my head down for a bit.

I'm sure being up all night & going to bed at 6.30am used to be much more fun than this!

Youngatheart00 · 10/03/2021 08:48

I did manage to drift off again around 6 so when my alarm went off at 7 I could have cried. 3.5 hours awake in the middle of the night. I’m not actively stressed about any of the work stuff this morning, so why does it grip my heart in the middle of the night?!

Will be back on this thread for a bit of company tonight if it happens again.

Hope everyone has an ok day and powers through the tiredness

en0la · 10/03/2021 08:49

I'm not sure I can function but going to work anyway.

Youngatheart00 · 11/03/2021 00:01

Hope everyone sleeps better tonight. I was shattered early evening but I think I may have now gone past tired 😓

Frownette · 11/03/2021 00:28

I'm up, it's the noisy wind!

MouthAche · 11/03/2021 00:34

The wind here too and it suppose to get worse around 3am

PhilCornwall1 · 11/03/2021 03:32

Up here again. The wind has got me up this time.

It's, shall we say, a little breezy outside.

Frownette · 11/03/2021 03:42

Yes I've tried to sleep but it keeps making the window creak. What's everyone doing to pass time?

Jasmin82 · 11/03/2021 03:42

Still up again. Mostly because I fell asleep earlier and now I’m awake and can’t sleep.

I'm getting fed up with being wide awake within an hour of going to bed. It's every night and I'm so tired.

The wind is horrendous here and the house is making some very strange noises. We moved in about 3wks ago and it's very draughty - the internal doors are all rattling and there's a lot of odd creaking.

HappySewandSew · 11/03/2021 03:53

Still up here. Got a last minute sewing order for face coverings and thought I might as well fulfill it. Have The Terror on the iPad. Almost finished now

GreenSlide · 11/03/2021 04:07

Up again tonight. Not the neighbours fault this time!

cerseii · 11/03/2021 04:09

Me too, I’m gonna blame the wind too

Ladybird69 · 11/03/2021 04:14

Wide awake listening to the wind. It’s like a freight train going by and I’m quite sheltered. There’s going to be a lot of damage in the morning ☹️

Porridgeoat · 11/03/2021 04:25

Wiiiiinnnnnd

Sunbird24 · 11/03/2021 04:27

I’m awake again - that’s every night this week I’ve woken up between 2.30 and 4am. Mostly early pregnancy bladder, but also sometimes the weather...
