I wonder if the Royal Family stepped in for this to happen

@LINABE Piers was just as psychologically abusive as the Gov. were over Christmas. Saying Christmas would have to be cancelled. Difference is though he fucked off to Antigua. As well as St Tropez last summer.

There is a lot of anger growing in poorer communities We cant keep being locked down so the more well off get to carry on as normal Im sick of being told protect the NHS while fuckers carry on like this. Protect the NHS is just aimed at us "plebs"

Jbon9087 · 10/03/2021 01:34

@Keeping2ChevronsApart Who would tolerate their husband subjecting another woman to that sort of abuse for years?

Sadly quite a few. I mean he wasn't media-stalking her for 5 mins it been 3 years.

Most of this misogny couldn't carry on if women put their foot down against it but you know..I'm all right jack...Think how many work on the DM!! 🙈🙉🙊

@turquoisewaters

The U.K. television is monitored by Ofcom, payed for with taxpayers money

The problem is that many taxpayers would have wanted this affair to have been handled properly (i.e. suspension pending the completion of the investigation). Otherwise the (alleged) sacking just looks like a knee jerk reaction to an angry 40.000-strong horde.
It doesn't set a good precedent IMO

Problem is in this case (unlike other complaints against him) even he knew the investigation could t fine him anything other than guilty.

The good he's done and the points he's made that were good and challenging don't mean he can do as he pleases.

I've never particular likes the way he does things but I can't deny he's challenged great concepts and beliefs historically.

But it's the way he does it and the way he became totally unhinged over Meghan was a step far too far.

Jbon9087 · 10/03/2021 01:59
And here's when Harry walked off an interview.

The wanker is def NOT Harry.

This is why Piers hates Meghan. It's the most honest explanation of it. He has been upset about it ever since and is utterly obsessed with denigrating her. I suspect he was more honest on Irish TV as it's not widely viewed.

That's a really lovely interview with Harry jbon. Thanks for sharing, I had never seen it before. I loved his interview with James Corben and they have to do a military exercise - have you seen it?
floweryscarf · 10/03/2021 03:02

Piers has also done an interview with an American journalist where he spins it as him playing 'Cupid'.

Jbon9087 · 10/03/2021 03:19

@floweryscarf I love James Corden but haven't had time..maybe the wknd. That's I do my msg at night Grin.

I know people can't see it but I'm convinced Harry is going to be the saving of this RF! He's got character and that's in short supply everywhere.

I'm willing to bet good money on it.

floweryscarf · 10/03/2021 03:44

Here's him with James

GreenSlide · 10/03/2021 04:05

@Justanotherlurker

I just don't get why everyone is so overjoyed he's gone!

It's the new age of the internet, there is no nuance in debate you have to pick a side and stick to it, you either side with people only believing MSM and fake news via twitter/facebook to being on the other side and believing you are superior because you like a different MSM and get your news via twitter/facebook

Why Piers even got the job after his Mirror phone hacking scandales should hignlight how we are all being played, but the other is why those who are apparently glad he 'got fired' when he quit is a mirror opposite of the coin they are trying to rail against.

The terminally online group will move onto another target soon enough and MN will again show itself up as users who apperntly are full of RG/PHD educated and still somehow get hot taks from some twitter bui linking the dailymail

The problem is there was no debate with PM, PM has his own agenda which he brought to every interview, his personal opinion was forced down everyone's throats. Alex disagreed with him so Piers walked off - how can you say it's other people who show no nuance when debating?!

GreenSlide · 10/03/2021 04:08

I hope they get Ian Wright in to replace him. I miss the Wright Stuff.

GreenSlide · 10/03/2021 04:10

Not Ian Wright Grin Matthew Wright, of course.

Horehound · 10/03/2021 04:21

Ha good
I actually unfollowed him yesterday on twitter. Can't stand him anymore. Glad to hear that

joystir59 · 10/03/2021 05:02

I'd rather have teeth removed than watch GMB/Piers Morgan. Watching TV would be the worst possible start to my day. Don't know anyone who does it tbh. Like who watches TV as soon as they get up?

People who don't work 9-5?

I sometimes watch it, but never when I've to work. Don't have time.

I watch tv before I get up 😮 Then leave it on as I get up and ready for work.
Sparklingbrook · 10/03/2021 06:30

So (watching from my bed) it’s Ranvir and Susanna today. Ranvir doesn’t seem herself though.

LipstickLou · 10/03/2021 06:52

Bully. Plain and simple.

Inthevirtualwaitingroom · 10/03/2021 06:59

i would not watch Piers Morgan, opinionated waste of space.the BBC news in the morning i might very occationally, pehraps once a year or so, tune in
it is a magazine format, he has gained a number of fans i think due to being outspoken

itsgettingwierd · 10/03/2021 07:13

His insta this morning.

Obviously he's put it that he stands by what he said and people can't handle it.

Ignores the fact he's the one who flounced when called out by numerous people on his behaviour.

I agree with this. But it's not the appropriate way to tackle the issue.

It could happen to any of us. All of a sudden, we are found not to display the 'right' credentials (according to the ideology of a particular group) We make a mistake and we are publicly lynched and hunted down by a bunch of excessively vocal militants. Maybe someone was after his job, who knows? How can anyone agree with this?

P Morgan's case is an extreme, obviously. But there has been target after target recently. It's a very worrying trend that does put freedom of speech at risk. No time was allowed to adequately investigate the statements from each side, for instance. If he had been suspended he wouldn't have been on-air anyway.

lollipoprainbow · 10/03/2021 07:32

Definitely out of control ! I watched again when he flounced out and his face when Alex was speaking, he sat there chewing his lip! Apparently Susannah played tribute to him this morning Hmm

Poorlykitten · 10/03/2021 07:47

I doubt he was sacked, probably leaving anyway and just a big stunt to court attention. Vile man.

Darker · 10/03/2021 07:59

I thought it was a stunt. But very glad Alex had his say and that Piers is gone.
