Actors who can only play one part

By that I don't mean that they are bad actors but that they are so attached with one character that they always seem to become a caricature of themselves.

So for example yesterday DD and I watched Christopher Robin the movie. As soon as Mark Gatiss came on, despite playing a serious character, all I could see/hear was "Yes Mrs Levinson".

Now watching Night at the museum. Ricky Gervais always sounds like David Brent.

Can anyone think of any other actors that you struggle to see in other roles?

Probably been said already but Seth Rogen - plays basically the same part in every film he’s in.

@BorderlineHappy

Daniel Radcliff.he will only be Harry Potter. David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst will be forever Delboy and Rodney.
David Jason is capable of playing many different characters like Frost and Pop from Darling Buds. Nicolas Lyndhursts character in New Tricks is completely different to Rodney.

I was thinking of the likes of Jennifer Aniston... she is always Rachel 🤷‍♀️

Kermit, he always seems to play a frog. I've not seen all his films or read his book (Croak on the Water) but I do think he's restricted himself rather and he should perhaps consider being a smaller fish in a bigger pond - if that is possible - unless he feels he would be out of his depth...

@woodhill

I think Rupert Graves is fairly versatile. He was in Last Tango and Garrows law
I know Rupert Graves so can't take him seriously on tv!
