Ftm? I thought this was a trans thread...

GreenSlide · 03/03/2021 18:57

Oh goodness Blush first time mum!! Might ask MN to edit the title, or maybe I'll just let it die Grin

I read it as First Time Mum!

I was bought a baby food blender. We still have it 10years later as it's the perfect size to make marinades. Think we used it to make baby food a couple of times, if that...

What actually is a bump sheet mask?

For me, it was the top and tail bowl. Apparently an essential according to all the lists, but we just used an old bowl we had!

WellJuhnelle · 03/03/2021 19:12

Ewan the fucking dream sheep. Promised so much, delivered so little.

In the end we just accepted that I have children who don’t need sleep for the first three years of their lives but I hate that sheep for all the false hope it gave me

What the F is a bump sheet mask? The picture does not appear to show anything likely to fit that description? ConfusedConfusedConfused
I am perturbed by the poor baby being practically naked while mum is in a sniffly jumper dress.

BewareTheBeardedDragon · 03/03/2021 19:23

A whole set of brand new baby things because darling little pfb couldn't have anything secondhand. By number 4 almost nothing was new and she's fine Grin

ivfbabymomma1 · 03/03/2021 19:23

One of them cute indoor ball pits that are nice & grey with colour matching balls.

What. A. Nightmare.

All my Ds did was tip the balls out every day. It went onto the next unsuspecting mum with a dream Grin

FedNlanders · 03/03/2021 19:24

Baby bjorn carrier.

DisgruntledPelican · 03/03/2021 19:25

Ewan the Dream Sheep became more useful during the 10 month sleep regression, but I spent a long time hating him Grin

BewareTheBeardedDragon · 03/03/2021 19:26

In case anyone else wants to save their time from googling a bump sheet mask - it seems to be like a face mask for your bump - presumably the sheet element is to stop it slipping off down your Knick's... less crazy than it first appeared.

The naked baby photo shoot apparently happened in a garage - I hope they had adequate heating Shock

shoutyshouter · 03/03/2021 19:28

My kids are 6 and 4 and still have harp leg on Ewan every night to fall asleep with.
They worked a dream for us! We've gone through about bloody 6 of the things so far.

Kimye4eva · 03/03/2021 19:28

Ewan the f ing demon sheep. The sound of that lullaby makes me feel thoroughly depressed.

00100001 · 03/03/2021 19:28

A £1000+ travel system with bells and whistles. And then try and sell it on a few months later for £950.

TheProvincialLady · 03/03/2021 19:29

I bought a baby bath that had a heat sensitive foam pad at the bottom. This warned me if the water was too hot for PFB. Which was just as well, because clearly the heat testing powers of my own hands are so bad that I have stepped into many a scalding hot bath 😶

I also want to know what on earth a bump sheet mask is! Confused

So many things! We got a top and tail bowl and still use it for DD2 but a PP is right, any old bowl would do.

Like a creamy moisturising mask? Confused

I remember freaking out at 41+ weeks because I hadn't bought a baby hair brush

I disagree with this. Our travel system was great and I was still using it when DD1 was 3/4. We bought the updated version of it for DD2 as the first one got irreparably ruined in my parents’ attic.

Bump headphones so DS1 could listen to Mozart and become a child prodigy Grin

PaperMonster · 03/03/2021 19:36

I think I did really well and avoided any unnecessary purchases!!

millenialblush · 03/03/2021 19:37

My pal bought a wipe warmer Grin

GreenSlide · 03/03/2021 19:37

Some more info on the bump sheet mask. It is a face mask but for your bump. (Even calling it a bump makes me shudder a bit, and I'm actually pregnant at the minute Blush
*
'*Treat your bump with this targeted treatment bump mask to care for your skin. Cooling aloe vera hydrates the dry skin whilst rosehip works to help reduce stretch marks.

Tips: Apply to clean, dry skin. Unfold the mask and smooth onto the contour of your belly, the size of the mask is designed to be suitable for all stages of pregnancy. Put your feet up and relax for 15 – 20 minutes. Remove the bump mask and rub in any excess serum to your bump and hips'
