Are the parents palaeontologists?

BlueThursday · 02/03/2021 17:27

Keeping the anonymity there by just leaving the forenames Grin

Batshittery · 02/03/2021 17:31

Those poor children Grin

HermitsLife · 02/03/2021 17:32

I always thought that was a boys name 😂

happysunr1se · 02/03/2021 17:40

Triptych is an artwork in 3 panels isn't it? Its a bit like calling a kid palette or easel.

I think Cryptic would be a nicer name or Peripatetic.

pleaseChooseAnother · 02/03/2021 17:43

They appear to have named in birth order (Di- meaning two and Tri- meaning three). Maybe just chosen random words with relevant prefixes?

justamummydoingherbest · 02/03/2021 17:45

Oh Jesus. Those poor children Grin

Liquorishtoffee · 02/03/2021 17:47

One of my favourite pass times is looking at the birth announcements.

It’s always “Mary and John welcome Zippidoodah Zebedee Gloriana Haltwhistle Smith, brother to big sisters Heebejeebee Skywalker Aphrodite and Maximuszimmius Cartwinkle Beheezuz...”

AngelicaElizaAndPeggy · 02/03/2021 17:50

@pleaseChooseAnother maybe the next baby will be Quadroped 🤩

Wrongsideofhistorymyarse · 02/03/2021 17:51

Isn't that the Rees Mogg family?

dementedma · 02/03/2021 17:53

Lol I saw this too and shared. Poor old Triptych.

Liquorishtoffee · 02/03/2021 17:54

I would have had it pegged as a boys name...

FishyFriday · 02/03/2021 17:55

Next up Quadrangle.
Andylion · 02/03/2021 17:58

Maybe they thought they were having triplets?

JosephineDeBeauharnais · 02/03/2021 18:00

I’m not hating Dionysus tbf.

HerBigChance · 02/03/2021 18:03

To be fair, it would need to be a name that lived up to the ones already given to her siblings

Liquorishtoffee · 02/03/2021 18:04

Reminds me of the old (sadly no more) kebab shop on the corner of Tottenham Court Road. Beloved of boozed-up students on a Friday night...

Andylion · 02/03/2021 18:05

I went to school, primary through to high school, with a few Greek guys who went by Dennis as the English version of their Greek name, Dionysius.

Dionysus? I remember that too.
BlackSabbath · 02/03/2021 18:08

Jesus wept

Liquorishtoffee · 02/03/2021 18:08

Yup. A bit like Pizza Crola on Sauchiehall St. You’d find remains in your kitchen (or bed) on a Saturday morning with no memory...

Monkeytennis97 · 02/03/2021 18:15

@BlueThursday love the Partridge reference there😂

BlueThursday · 02/03/2021 18:23

@Liquorishtoffee oh pizza crolla! That and morelos on Great Western Road often filled a hole!

PattyPan · 02/03/2021 18:27

There are no words Grin I would probably assume it was a boy though, isn't Trip a nickname for boys in the US?

PainterInPeril · 02/03/2021 18:29

"Hi, Di, Tri! Good morning, campers!"
(You get bonus points if you can say it in Ruth Madoc's accent! Grin)
