The reason for the themes? On Friday I watched some programme that was the biggest selling hits of 1981 and while I was watching it, I kept saying to DH "oooo. I don't think that one's ever been on the threads. It will be now!"

Heard Dead Ringer For Love on the radio yesterday, and was going to put it up as a one-off, not part of the theme. But then realized it was a song from 1981, so it's not one of the biggest hits of the year, and hence doesn't really belong as part of the theme, but i included it anyway. If you notice my disclaimer at the top of the post, I nearly wrote the word "ringer" and then realized I couldn't because that word is in the title of the song slaps forehead so I had to write some long ramble instead. This is very trivial, but it amused me yesterday.

Would you like more lyrics? I'll be honest, there are 2 on this list I was expecting to be got. I thought Pantry would definitely get one of them and I thought Honey Monster might get the other.
There's one from a group I know very well, but the rest of you often struggle to recognise. Although I think Mr FlouncingB often spots them. Library used to, but she's not on the thread much any more.
