Just a new build ... getting a house built is a little outside the budget ( but that's mostly as we want to retire extra early)

That sounds exciting Midge.
Part of our house is over 400 years old and although I love it sometimes I long for the clean straight lines of a new build.

When do you think you will be able to move in?

There is when we can move in and later when we can get our furniture. Should be done early April. Straight lines are good but tend to look bland . But I'm not a fussy person . Warm and dry is good enough
