Untangling slinkies. My kids manage to tangle them up every time the tangled lump of spring appears without a by or leave and i absentmindedly untangle it until it looks like new.

Whats yours?

Finding things.

iceicesunsun · 26/02/2021 02:05

Waving a magic wand and producing items from hats. No rabbits were harmed in the making of this post.

reader108 · 26/02/2021 02:06

Everything

fallfallfall · 26/02/2021 02:32

Um, body fluids and excrement clean up.
At this point it’s almost exclusively pets but puke, shit or piss sighted leads to my name being called for help. Outside prior to mowing the lawn, when walking the dogs or when they eat their kibbles to quick.

Time40 · 26/02/2021 02:44

Mending clothes; writing anything that needs nice handwriting; doing anything small and fiddly; tying bows, and just this last year, hairdressing.

youmakemydreamscometrue · 26/02/2021 03:27

Finding thing DH has put in a "safe place"

HunterAngel · 26/02/2021 11:20

Finding stuff. I’m supposed to know precisely where everything DH and DS last touched/held/looked in the general direction of is.

HelenaJustina · 26/02/2021 11:21

Finding things, untangling jewellery, anything relating to homework or home learning

spiderlight · 26/02/2021 11:23

Everything! Knowing all the passwords. Knowing exactly what we have in the fridge, freezer and pantry. Knowing where teen DS left a particular charger lead three months ago in a house full of charger leads. Anything to do with the dog's arse. Basically everything, and it's exhausting.

Freshprincess · 26/02/2021 11:28

Everything but I specialise in finding stuff, conjuring items out of thin air and knowing when everything is happening.

Nellythemouse · 26/02/2021 11:31

Doing kids hair. In return DH deals with spiders. I consider it a fair division of tasks.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 26/02/2021 11:35

Nearly everything! Removal of weird spiders and bugs and the clearing up of sick fall firmly in DH’s lap but everything else is me.

HeyDemonsItsYaGirl · 26/02/2021 11:35

Opening bottles/jars.

Technical iPad queries, even though I have never had an iPad and usually have to Google the answer.

HeyDemonsItsYaGirl · 26/02/2021 11:36

Oh, and cooking queries.

Livefortherain · 26/02/2021 11:38

Everything! But I am very good at finding things.

DH played a game 6 years ago which needed a little device (keyring sized) to log in. He started playing again recently and I knew exactly where it was (in the bottom of a gift bag, in our kitchen junk cupboard with other random bits)!

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 26/02/2021 11:39

Being the Fountain of all Knowledge. Apparently I know everything. I know where everything is.

DH apparently can turn invisible at times... The children will leave to room to come to find me to ask one of these questions. Especially if I'm on the toilet. He should be a spy.

CryptoFascist · 26/02/2021 11:39

I used to be the Finder Of Things but mysteriously I seem to have lost my ability to know the precise location of absolutely everything in the house. "I don't know" is my new favourite phrase and I say it often.

roarfeckingroarr · 26/02/2021 11:40

Finding things

justilou1 · 26/02/2021 11:41

Thinking... Apparently I have the only working brain in the family. I am easier than Google!

Shinyletsbebadguys · 26/02/2021 11:42

Food Grin justifiably really because for a variety if reasons DC are not able to get their own yet (partly age , partly finances so food is planned and partly the house layout ). DP will happily cook for himself but I am generally the provider of food.

DP is the go to for cups of coffee and computer breakdowns

Ds1 ( aged 8 ) is the go to for anything dinosaur related (and roblox is his specialist subject but he offers that information...constantly ... over and over again...so no need to go to him for that Grin)

Ds2 (aged 5) is our resident train person....definitely the go to on any Thomas the tank engine subject ...ever...and occasionally his response is accompanied with a deep sigh and an eye roll at our stupidity on train related questions Grin

Shinyletsbebadguys · 26/02/2021 11:43

Although ds2 also considers me the go to on time travel apparently as he is currently unhappy I won't let him travel to the future as I'm making lunch soon Grin

CryptoFascist · 26/02/2021 11:43

My new favourite phrase works for thinking too, @justilou1 😁

Turnedouttoes · 26/02/2021 11:45

Oh yes thinking for me too! My DP appears to forget he has his own brain (or Google) and defaults to using mine

Pepper54 · 26/02/2021 11:45

I am matron (did a First Aid course in 1987), DH is tech support. I am also ents officer and in charge of finding things.

LadyCatStark · 26/02/2021 11:49

Everything!
