What crafty thing are you making right now?

My boys went to school today (huzzah!) so have spent the day finishing this new paper cut design and a few others.

I’ve been doing lots of crochet design while they’ve been off but it’s nice to crack out the scalpel blades again!

What are you making at the moment?

So lovely to see all your work - my mental health would be in a right state if I didn’t have my crafts, keeps me focused on something productive. Can’t believe how many years I went without making anything!

I’m playing with crocheting a blanket for myself. It went wrong and I undid it. Now I keep changing my mind what pattern I want.

One of my teenage grandsons asked me for some masks for when he goes back to school. I made a dozen, some for his two brothers as well - they wouldn't have thought of asking until the day before.
Other than that I'm unravelling a cardigan I knitted in the first lockdown because it came out huge. I'll knit it again smaller.

I’m planning on making some punch needle coasters for us all with our initials on them.

Using up yarn on a mosaic crochet blanket. Just discovered mosaic crochet. It’s my new love!

I am cross stitching. It’s called a stitch a long and part of the pattern is released each month. The second part was released today but I haven’t finished the first so I’m frantically stitching!

I knit - am currently knitting a very pretty baby blanket for DD's best friend who is expecting in April. If I finish in time, I'll add hats and bootees. She doesn't want to know the sex, so I'm doing pastel yellows and creams. I love knitting for babies!

Yeah, I usually get bored, but this has me hooked. Mosaic crochet is quite a recent invention l think.

I love mosaic crochet, been designing some patterns - snowed under with paper cuts at the moment but then I have a lot of patterns to write up.

Are you do the cut at the end of the row or the double row version? I prefer the former but feels like a waste of yarn!

OP, I’m a paper cutter too! It was the first craft I picked up when suffering with PND and I was soon hooked!
I have since taught myself to crochet since lockdown, and I’m completely hooked once again (pun intended !)

I was an obsessive paper cutter for years before my twins came along - don’t have so much time these days so I mainly just design templates to sell and the only cuts I get time for are the samples for the templates. Hard to chip away at a piece when you have to keep your blades locked away 😂

I'm half way through an embroidery project

I have made some images of my dc using parts of different photos as well as some images from google and have turned them into fairies, sharks and witches

I've almost finished the border on my huge CAL blanket, just waiting for a delivery of half a ball from a friend.

Then started a new baby blanket, even though I have eleventy million WIPs that I should be finishing

I'm making a crochet blanket for a friend. I've also unpicked a lace crochet blanket I've unpicked before because of holes. It has stretched this time. So I will have made it 3 times in 25 years with the same cotton!
