is your dog called luna? how many do you know?

my friend had a puppy about 6 years ago she named luna but since then it must be the commonest name for a dog

None, and I know of quite a few dog names as I always ask about people's dogs if they mention them. Most of them seem to have human names - I know of a couple of Ollies and Rosies for example. My pets have always had human names.

I have a 10 year old lurcher named Luna, thought I was oh so original, now every other dog we meet is Luna!

We met a dog called Luna on holiday in Croatia. I have heard Luna called in the park a few times too. It's a cute name for a dog.

I have a young lurcher called Luna.

I know one whippet, one cockerpoo and one Labrador called Luna!
The local stables also has a horse called Luna if that’s any help

Lots of patients called Luna, both when I was working in the UK and in Canada. Also loads called Bella, Lola, Lily, Molly and Ruby. For boys, dozens called Charlie, Bailey, Milo, Oscar, Ollie, Archie and Teddy.

No but I have a tortoise called Luna, named after Luna Lovegood.

All the dogs round here are still called Lola.

I have a Luna as well and I've noticed LOADS out on walks this year! My Luna is an oldie, she's a rescue and we got her nine years ago. I thought it was an unusual name at the time.

Luckily I've called my DC something super unfashionable, though maybe it'll be really trendy too in a few years...
