What dates have you got in your diary for the next year?

Normally I would have a lot more social things going on so it’s odd to see months and months of nothing in my diary except the odd zoom meeting and a Tesco delivery.

But now I’ve got two - a wedding in August and a gig in February 2022 and I’m looking forward already!

I am bridesmaid for my best friend in June. It was supposed to happen last September but didn't due to all of the restrictions. I hope that this new date can go ahead (and I really need to lose some -a lot of- weight beforehand!)

Hah. Lots of things rescheduled from last year Grin Cookery course, spa session and so on. Obviously I am not banking on them going ahead. Oh and finally a denist appointment, first time in a year as they forgot to reschedule us from lockdown 1!
We have a UK holiday booked for august and a theatre tour for DH bday in May. Of course all refundable nowadays!

Well I’ve got no shows, holidays or babies due but a trip to the hairdresser would be good.

My niece's wedding in September, postponed from last year. I really hope they can have the big wedding they planned. And a family holiday for me and DP in July, again postponed from 2020. Apart from that, just chemo and related appointments for me.

A UK holiday in July. And a nail appointment that should have been in Dec, and keeps being rolled on three weeks.

3 gigs - one June, one December, one May 2022 (original date May 2020) Expecting the June one to be rescheduled (again, was originally for 2020) soon but fingers crossed for December.

2 UK holidays (1 rescheduled from last June and the other rescheduled from NYE)

A variety of running races including Great North Run (all rescheduled from 2020). The last one booked is Liverpool Marathon in May 2022 which has been postponed a number of times now.

DHs cousins wedding in July.

Will any go ahead? I really don't know. I certainly hope so, but everything is fully refundable or will be postponed easily enough.

Three motor sports events in May, July and September. A weekend break to Bilbao in September and a gig at the o2 London in October. Who knows what will go ahead.

Holidays will be booked as and when restrictions are lifted, we aren’t too fussed now. Last year we booked a uk holiday and it was fine. Not great due to the shitty weather (last week of July turned out to be absolutely terrible weather wise Hmm ) and I wouldn’t waste my money on another uk holiday for that reason. It’s just rubbish being on holiday in the pissing down rain. We made the best of it and did have a good time but it was a lot of effort, most days I just wanted to lie in bed, shut the curtains and pretend we hadn’t spent a huge amount of money to be there Grin
Nothing else booked, can’t be arsed with the hassle of cancelling/refunds etc, will just wait til things are settled again.

Meant to say, we booked the uk holiday last year after having to cancel 3 abroad trips and it was a nightmare trying to get refunds/postpone stuff so I just don’t want to go through that all over again.

I have a 2 week UK family holiday by the seaside in August - really hope we can go as it will be so nice to get away and be by the coast. I always find something about the sea makes me feel better about life!

Also a wedding which has been shifted a couple of times, most recently from June to September but I haven’t had the final confirmation of the new date. It’s close family so I am pretty sure I will be on the guest list almost no matter how small it ends up being.

I have a few other things that I hope to do (such as celebrating a big wedding anniversary in the autumn) but not booking anything yet! Let’s see...

I have an online aromatherapy course next month; our family holiday to Cornwall, that was postponed from last year in May half term & tickets for Sarah Millican in July.
Really hope they all happen.
