I got 5 days to order something and have no clue, any ideas? What's your plan?

We're not like super romantic but a little something would be nice x

I've been pondering this with zero inspiration and eventually ordered a lovely box of chocolate from a local handmade chocolate company and a sweatshirt. Not especially romantic but ticks the box.

He gets the pleasure of living with me!

I have never bought him anything specifically for valentines but I usually make all his favorites for dinner or something.

I expect to be treated to something nice on valentines day as a way of him showing his thanks for everything I do for him every other day of the year. I don't ask him to do much around the house, I do all the cooking, cleaning etc. When he gets home from work his dinner is waiting. I often bake or buy treats that only he will eat etc so as far as I am concerned I show my love for him in small ways all the time. I know that he appreciates all that I do, but valentines day is really the only time that he will spend any money on me without getting something in return. He usually buys flowers and chocs for me which is lovely!

A food processor - it's a really swanky one 😂 he does love cooking and I know he's been eyeing this one up for a while

The romance 😬

ShowOfHands · 09/02/2021 14:11

I renew his annual subscription to our marriage.

Moooooooooooooooooo · 09/02/2021 14:15

One year a nice cheese board, this year some books.

Stompythedinosaur · 09/02/2021 14:17

He'll get a card and a small gift. This year I've got him a case for his mandolin picks.

Aria2015 · 09/02/2021 14:18

I've ordered some Valentine's cupcakes to be delivered. Get them every year!

Bert2020 · 09/02/2021 14:19

Brownies he loves and a card.

LittleRa · 09/02/2021 14:20

His favourite sweets and a card

IToldYouIWasFreaky · 09/02/2021 14:24

Chocolates and a fancy apron as he's learning how to cook. It's normally booze but I feel like I got him a lot of booze for Christmas and his birthday recently so trying to give that a swerve. Our first year together I got loads of beers with love-related names which was both a lot of fun to buy and went down brilliantly. I peaked too soon...

lovemirage · 09/02/2021 14:24

I am giving dh a Lego bouquet. He likes Lego so he gets to build the bouquet I give to him.

A red rose, just like the last 23 years.

PubsClosed · 09/02/2021 14:30

Card and a kiss Wink

We get a takeaway and watch a film together.

We don’t do gifts.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 09/02/2021 14:31

Itsjustaride8w737 · 09/02/2021 14:35

Mines getting an Xbox series X

SinkGirl · 09/02/2021 14:39

His gift this year is meat from an awesome butcher, primarily a very fancy Galician bone in rib eye which I will use to make an awesome dinner on Valentine’s Day.

Not a bad deal with for me either as I also get to eat it 😬

StillNoFuckingEyeDeer · 09/02/2021 14:40

blow job again probably

RosieLemonade · 09/02/2021 14:41

Fred Perry shirt and socks and some skin care. We usually go out but will have a nice meal this year.

HopingForABetterYear · 09/02/2021 14:42

@ShowOfHands

I renew his annual subscription to our marriage.
Love this! Grin
mindutopia · 09/02/2021 14:55

We don’t do Valentines cards or gifts. Usually we get a supermarket meal for 2 purely because I enjoy the special valentines options, which are more interesting than the boring ole usual ones. What does he like? A nice bottle of whiskey or gin is always a favourite around here.

DeltaAlphaDelta · 09/02/2021 15:00

We are getting afternoon tea delivered.

Bigpinkslippers · 09/02/2021 15:03

I've got him a box of Lancashire crisps which he'll have to stash away from ds1 or they'll be gone in a day.

BearSoFair · 09/02/2021 15:04

Just a card and sometimes we'll go out for dinner. Obviously not this year!

Stonehopper · 09/02/2021 15:09

It has literally never occurred to me to get him anything, and we swore never to go out for dinner that night again after one time when we went to a longtime favourite restaurant to discover a really weird, tense atmosphere. Half the place was new couples clearly trying to decide if they were into one another or not across the heart-shaped panna cotta, and a significant minority of the others were clearly expecting a proposal. The place is tiny, so you are almost sitting on other people's laps, so difficult to ignore. I thought one woman was about to faint when the guy she was with sort of lurched up from his seat unexpectedly, but it turned out he was just adjusting his belt. I was a bit puzzled when a woman at the next table mashed through her creme brulée with a fork, and realised she was checking for a hidden ring. After which she gave daggers to her boyfriend.

It was stressful!
