Skim read it. I don't know many SAHMs who consider it their job. When I'm asked what I do for a living I usually respond that I'm at home with the kids right now but my last job was _. Most just see it as a temporary stage of their lives and with the retirement age going upwards there will be plenty of years in work ahead.

However, I think if sahms treat child raising etc as a job that's no bad thing, I know I kind of did when I was one. I couldn't opt out, I had responsibilities etc. I took raising the children seriously, good diet, activities, not too much TV etc.

Obviously we have now been up watching TV for 2 hours already so 🤷😂
