Do you eat chocolate every day?

I tend to eat a 2 finger kitkat most days at around 11am. If that even counts as chocolate! I can’t think of the last day I didn’t have a bit of chocolate even if it’s just two squares of something (I don’t eat loads of it)

Everyday without fail. I'm addicted, although not overweight and a size 10.

OverTheRainbow88 · 05/02/2021 12:51

I try not to and days I don’t I genuinely think I always get a headache that day!

Moonface123 · 05/02/2021 12:51

I eat chocolate most days, but l have physical job and am very active, apart from chocolate l don't eat much sugar.
I love it too much to give it up. If l started putting on weight l would cut down.

12 stone weight loss upthread! Respect!

I could easily eat it daily. I bloody love chocolate. However I make myself have at least 4 sugar free days in the week. If I have a bit, I just want more, and I’m scared of diabetes. I run regularly for the same reason.

Reclinehard · 05/02/2021 12:53

Yep. Can't not in the evenings.

BestZebbie · 05/02/2021 12:56

Yes, everyday (only a few squares though).

I know this has been every day for at least this century because 20ish years ago I went on holiday to Kenya where there was lots of lovely food but no chocolate at all and I started to really really miss it - on day 8 there was a kiosk with mini dairy milk bars and I paid £7 for three of them as I was so desperate. I was pretty appalled about this situation and cut down a lot when I got back, but I still get edgy about chocolate if I try to miss or stretch a day altogether. :-/

TwelvePaws · 05/02/2021 13:01

I used to eat chocolate about 2 or 3 times a week. Now I’m vegan I don’t as the vegan chocolate isn’t as nice although it’s ok. My kids had galaxy chocolate yesterday and it smelt so nice. Chocolate and cheese are definitely things I miss.

Pinkblueberry · 05/02/2021 13:05

Not usually. Sometimes after Christmas when we’ve been gifted a shed load - then that’s me done for the rest of the year tbh. Chocolate tastes like Christmas to me Grin

bakereld · 05/02/2021 13:08

I do. I have a few chunks of dairy milk everyday Grin.

My diet is low calorie, but trash Blush

Etinox · 05/02/2021 13:14

@PaperMonster

I try to!
Grin👊🏼
LuckyAmy1986 · 05/02/2021 13:20

@ineedtogooutlater I just allow for it in my calories! It’s a must.

No and of course a KitKat counts as chocolate I thought someone might say it’s a biscuit so doesn’t count! I do realise of course that it has chocolate on it and yes I do class it as a chocolate bar myself.

@overthinker30 well done, sounds like you have broken the cycle. I have tried to cut it out completely but it just Makes be crave it more, so .. skittle every day seems to work for me

LuckyAmy1986 · 05/02/2021 13:23

A little, not skittle! I haven’t had skittles in sooo long!

I love chocolate but I see it as a treat food, not a daily thing. I probably have it once or twice a week.

RainingBatsAndFrogs · 05/02/2021 13:26

No.

I love chocolate but I am trying to eat a much healthier diet overall.

Sometimes I buy dark chocolate and have a few squares each day, but except after Christmas I have stopped eating 'everyday' choc. And since I have been eating less I am fussier - I don't like Dairy Milk and palm oil gunky claggy choc any more.

It doesn't always stop me eating it though.

So I don't have it in the house.

Xerochrysum · 05/02/2021 13:27

I hardly eat them. Stopped buying them when I was BFing my dc with multiple allergies. Now I feel guilty eating nice chocolate that my dc can't have, so don't buy them. I do use dark chocolate for baking and eat them with dc though.

Green and Blacks and Lindt dark choc is vegan, though.

No but nice idea though!

wellthatsunusual · 05/02/2021 13:32

I don't. I used to but as I too have been losing weight I have realised that I'm a bit all or nothing. I find it very very hard to just have a little bit of chocolate, I always want more. Whereas if I don't start, I find it easy(ish) to resist. However, I haven't cut it out completely. I just recognise that for me it's best to limit it to eg a Saturday evening treat so as not to sabotage my efforts.

LadyCatStark · 05/02/2021 13:33

I used to eat at least a sure bag every day and eat in in place of real meals. Then about 3 years ago I started the no S diet and settled at a comfortable size 6. During lockdown, I went backwards and a size 8 was starting to feel a little tight so I’ve gone back to doing no S in January and I’m now a comfortable 8 again. I was never overweight but I was really unhealthy! Once I open the chocolate floodgate, it’s hard to close it again and I end up eating more throughout the day. It’s better not to open that gate at all. I only wat chocolate at the weekends now.

Thecomfortador · 05/02/2021 13:34

I could happily eat chocolate daily, and probably do most days. However my waist line has expanded somewhat during this last year and I'm slightly conscious of not just carrying on regardless. I do love it so, though.

GravityFalls · 05/02/2021 13:35

I probably have chocolate in some form every day - a KitKat/Penguin, a couple of chocolate biscuits, some Minstrels or something on the drive home or a couple of rows in the evening. Not all of those on the same day, but usually at least one of them. I like it!

DaphneBridgerton · 05/02/2021 13:37

Probably every other day, as I don't have a massive sweet tooth but sometimes fancy a chocolate biscuit with my tea in the afternoon, or a few squares after dinner. I seem to be able to stop myself after a few squares or a couple of biscuits usually. I don't have the same willpower with crisps sadly.

Lostinwinter · 05/02/2021 13:38

No, I hardly ever eat chocolate. Maybe twice a year if that. Icecream is a different matter!

LuckyAmy1986 · 05/02/2021 13:45

Seems like everyone has their vice!
