I'm just very intrigued! Mine is £800 a month.

£410

@Rowenasemolina

I’m amazed what a small percent of income that some of these are.

Mines paid off now, but was about 70- 75% of my pay for 25 years. I thought that was normal

Didn’t the percentage in relation to your income not go down through the years? It usually does due to inflation and wage increases.

Zero

£730, 30% of household income and 22 years to go!

BlueYellowWhite · 05/02/2021 08:46

£225

rc22 · 05/02/2021 08:47

By my quick calculation, 8.75% of our monthly income. This place is way too small for us though and when things return a little more to normal, we are going to look at moving so things will change then. We have recently reached the point where we have enough in savings to pay this mortgage off if we wished to. Not necessarily going to do it but it is quite a nice feeling!

Montysauras · 05/02/2021 08:47

About 1200, we increased the repayments to hopefully pay it off quicker Hmm I’m only in my mid 20s so still got a long way to go Confused

Ours is just over £800, which is about 25% of our household income.

Ten years to go!

Pomegranatespompom · 05/02/2021 08:53

£1600

gretagreengrapes · 05/02/2021 08:54

21% of our joint take home pay

myusernamewastakenbyme · 05/02/2021 08:58

Mines £147 a month....just as well as i've been on furlough nearly a year and am broke.

ImFree2doasiwant · 05/02/2021 09:00

£502.

Kndg · 05/02/2021 09:00

Zero! Bought our last 2 houses outright.

ImFree2doasiwant · 05/02/2021 09:04

@Rowenasemolina mine is currently about 60% of my actual earnings, but as a single working mother I get tax credits which is how I survive. Glad to see yours is paid off, I'll keep plugging away!

NDSandG · 05/02/2021 09:05

Zero but planning to buy new house and even with 50-60% deposit, looking at around 2k a month. Will be odd having one again after couple of years mortgage free as don’t like having debt of any kind.

LST · 05/02/2021 09:05

£553

WildOrchids67 · 05/02/2021 09:06

Just under £200. I had a 40 odd percent deposit though.

Passportpacked · 05/02/2021 09:10

£535

BooBahBoo · 05/02/2021 09:12

Just over £500.

Maryann1975 · 05/02/2021 09:12

£750, which is about 20% of our take home income. We also overpay as much as we can Manage and will reach the 10% limit for the first time this year.

Freshprincess · 05/02/2021 09:12

Around £300 and overpay another 250 per month. Currently 8 years left, hoping to knock a year off that.

I feel very lucky I’m old enough to have bought 20 years ago. Don’t think I could afford my house now.

SedentaryCat · 05/02/2021 09:12

£700. 5 years left. We remortgaged 2 years ago and shortened the term, effectively doubling our repayment. Worth it though.

lovelyupnorth · 05/02/2021 09:44

18% of joint income 19 years left, over paying, 60% equity but house needs quite a bit of work, so should be worth a lot more when sold. Next door is up for sale for 50% more than we paid.

RedMarauder · 05/02/2021 09:45

£640
