Recommend me a good comedy - desperately need something funny!

After a couple of weeks from hell and having had four teeth removed today I really need something fun.

We love The Office (US), Parks & Rec, 30 Rock, Party Down, Arrested Development, Spaced, 2012 and W1A... tried Schitt’s Creek and didn’t find it funny.

Is there anything great we might have missed?

Agree Schitts creek is amazing if you carry on. It's not my kind of thing, usually but I was bored and nearly gave up after the first one, but it really grows on you!

We loved Gary Tank Commander , a Scottish comedy, was very funny and we still watch it several years later on.

Also Friday Night Dinner .

I didn’t care for the first two Schits creek..but loved it after that.

Yes the first two were pretty boring, but they were just setting the scene It gets so much better after that.

Try Ghosts on BBC1. Very easy watching but also clever and funny.
Also Derry Girls, Modern Family and Friday Night Dinner as others have said.

Master of None with Aziz Ansari is good if you like Parks & Rec

I also think you should try again with Schitts Creek, so good once you get into it

Already mentioned here but I've just rewatched Derry Girls and find it hilarious but also quite moving in places. Also another vote for Modern Family.

Thanks all - I have seen lots of these, just watched Back recently and love The Good Place and Modern Family although think there may be some newer seasons we haven’t seen. Will check out the rest. All the other British stuff (IT Crowd etc) we watched at the time - makes me feel very old that people are getting their teens into it 😬

I got to 4 or 5 episodes of Schitt’s Creek and just didn’t find it funny at all. Maybe I’ll give it another go some time :)

Came here to say Schitts Creek. Absolutely brilliant. Maybe try again! I watched because of a thread here and loved it. And I am very very hard to please!

Definitely go for SC again. It’s funny because the characters are behaving so much like themselves, so until you know them you won’t know it’s funny.... convoluted but I know what I mean.

Also Peep Show, and Ghosts is brilliant. I always LOL at New Girl.
