I mean mainly @InsideOfEmptiness I wanted you to know you could move in, but what would people's fantasy house look like?

Mine would have an Octagonal library with a secret passage, a large laundry room with a large washing machine, the kitchen would have a double sink with food disposal, integrated coffee maker and sparkling water tap

I love large hallways and plenty of room to circulate outside main rooms. Pantry and utility would be lovely and a second reception room. Current house has small vestibule hall then tiny hallway and walk through sitting room/ dining to get to Kitchen. Would love a double oven and large fridge freezer. Also second sink in kitchen would be nice.

I want a grand staircase that splits left and right half way up

sleeping would also like king-size bed in main bedroom. Room not wide enough for one.

That's a lot of hoovering - I hate hoovering stairs. 😀 My vestibule hall has cloakroom then door to tiny main hall with stairs.

One level, tall ladder. High ceilings

16 acres, no other property nearby, stables, post and rail fencing, lots of oak beams, cream Aga (I hate Agas!). Possibly a converted barn, massive master bedroom, minimum 20 x 20.

I'd definitely need a huge walk in wardrobe / dressing room off my master bedroom. And separate en suites for DH and I. Mine would have a huge shower and the deepest bathtub ever.

A Sound of Music staircase

Parquet floors, a proper library with walls of books, a sliding ladder to reach all of them, and lots of lovely comfy leather wing chairs. Also a cozy little attic room that I can read in.

An Aga in the kitchen, but also a nice Wolf gas hob with six burners, and definitely a pot-filler tap over it.

A wraparound porch/deck, and a swimming pool. I'm easily pleased

Parquet floors, wood panelling, a kitchen with a table large enough to seat 15 (there are 10 of us already, have to leave space for future grandchildren), a dining room that would sit 20 plus have room for an arm chair either side of the fireplace. And two staircases - maybe not splitting left and right from the entrance hall but a back stair case. Outside I would like a large secure field for playing with my dogs.

And a massive bloody play room. Huge. 3 kids. Lots of sensor storage so it can be tidied easily. No furniture for bits to go under, everything down to the floor. Everything off the floor once tides so o can just vacuum up the food crumbs / apple chips

Walled garden with Victorian glasshouse. Woodland and river access. Party barn.

House needs 3 bedrooms and utility room.

I'm happy with a dining room just big enough that I don't have to put two high chairs up and down every day 🤣

Ooh, and wood burner with armchair in kitchen.

The turret is where my reading room is, fyi

I'd fight you for it, but it's your thread so you get first dibs . You could just fill the turret with big gorgeous floor cushions and several lamps, and make a beautiful wee nest for reading in

My turret will be full of Fantasy books / none fiction book on evolution.

Okay, this is getting creepy . My bookcase is mostly filled with non-fic, lots of physics, evolution, biology and etymology.

I also have a giant Buddha Bag .

We'd make great roomies in the dream house. Oh wait. How do you feel about cats?

It would be exactly like current house thatched with a beautiful garden but it would also have a swimming pool ideally indoors.

I'ld get our kitchen improved by a joiner, maybe redo the 2 bathrooms, change the staircase to an oak one but in love with it already.
