Ooh yes please. A browse in a book shop and a few charity shops, followed by a coffee and cake. Thanks for the invite OP.

Fairydustrust · 30/01/2021 21:19

@whatswithtodaytoday. Your clothes will fit perfectly and look beautiful

I’m going to mooch down my high street and go in all the charity shops. I’ll stop for lunch in my favourite restaurant (in the garden- it will be bright sunshine and 20+ degrees Grin), then I’ll walk down to the outdoor shop and browse the sales. I’ll have my two best friends with me too.

Knitwit99 · 30/01/2021 21:21

I'll be in the bookshop. Come and get me when it's coffee time

starrynight19 · 30/01/2021 21:23

I really need some work stuff from primark. My dd both have Xmas / birthday money to spend.
We absolutely want to have a nice meal and a few drinks when we are finished as well.

sofiaaaaaa · 30/01/2021 21:23

I also need to return a jumper to M&S that’s gone all bobbly

Serious question, can you legitimately return items that have heavily pilled as faulty or is it considered normal wear & tear? Bought a £70 jumpsuit that now looks awful after 1 wearBlush

Blueberryflavour · 30/01/2021 21:23

Oh can I join you, I need new tops for work and like to feel the fabric to find non crumple ones that don’t need an iron. Also need to try out the new toy shop in town cause it’s my granddaughters birthday next month. We can share a cake slider selection with our coffee at my favourite independent coffee shop.

Fairydustrust · 30/01/2021 21:24

@Halfagonyhalfhope oh, an art gallery. I can't wait. And yes, all welcome and we are doing lunch and wine.

Ooh might also ask my bf may as well make a day of it.

tapdancingmum · 30/01/2021 21:25

Count me in. I'll be in the stationery bit at Paperchase then in the cross stitch section of Hobbycraft. I do need some new shoes and could do with a wander around the (any) clothes shops to see if a thing takes my fancy. I'll meet you in the corner of the coffee shop for a nice cup.of tea and slice of lemon drizzle cake whilst we chat nonsense and watch the world go by 😃

Oh yes please! Can I bring my pal, too? Its her birthday today and I'd love to treat her to coffee and a nice, yummy (calorie free) cake Smile. Then we can go to Hobbycraft for a crafty browse.
Fairydustrust · 30/01/2021 21:28

There's definitely a demand for books and bras!.

I will start in the naice cafe with a glossy magazine or two, eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, and a pot of tea. Then I will find a nice spot In the park opposite and watch the park goers for a little while before my hair appointment. Afterwards I will have a nosey in the boutiques and art shops, before heading to the book shop. Once I'm done perusing the blurbs in the book shop and people watching over a Mocha in the chain coffee place where you can see everything (every town has one right) I'll have a wander to the other end of town with the indie restaurants and have myself some Mexican food before finding a bar with live music. I will meet some strangers who try to convince me to come dancing, but will decide instead to take a taxi home and have a bubble bath and an early night, after all there is the possibility of an early swim and then brunch tomorrow! Or at the very least some warm pain au chocolat from the bakery

Ballstothis148 · 30/01/2021 21:29

Ooh I’d love to go to a good bookshop and get recommendations, flick through some books and maybe pop into a good department store (Heals?) with the aim of shopping but really end up having cake in the cafe :) what a lovely day out! Ooh and I’d pop to a travel agents to book a holiday :)

TottiePlantagenet · 30/01/2021 21:29

After all the shopping, can we go to the theatre please? A full house, a pre-booked drink crushed at the bar during the interval ♥️

Chalkcheese · 30/01/2021 21:31

Ooh yes some theatre would be lovely. I feel like a musical would blast the cobwebs out but I'm not fussy!

Fairydustrust · 30/01/2021 21:31

@Blueberryflavour how lovely to actually feel the materials of the clothes. Non iron is the way to goSmile

Ohhh I've missed this so much.

Charity shops for books, my favourite greasy spoon for brunch, Hobbycraft for wool, browsing for shoes, maybe afternoon tea or if not then a visit to the market for incense, pastries and fruit.

SlipperTripper · 30/01/2021 21:32

I'll go to any shops, as long as I can leave the kids at home!

sapnupuas · 30/01/2021 21:33

Can I meet you after I've dropped the kid off at my mums?

I'll even put a bra on for the occasion.

starrynight19 · 30/01/2021 21:33

Oh the theatre yes please. We should be going to the lion king in March , delayed from Nov. Can’t see it Sad

Fairydustrust · 30/01/2021 21:33

Oh yes. Theatre! Crushes at bars!

I’m going to go for lunch at the tiled gall in the Art Gallery, then I’m going to go to Waterstones and handle lots and lots and lots of books and read most of those that I fancy. Then I’ll have a good poke round some charity shops, a coffee and cake and read the books I bought, then go home on the bus.
