What would you buy...

from me?

I'm almost certain I was destined to be rich but sadly it hasn't quite happened yet.

So, what would you buy from me? What can I sell or offer to make my millions?

I'm shit at art, I can't knit, sew or crochet. I can't pottery, (no teaspoon rest here, sadly). I'm a mediocre cook and baker and my caramel always comes out shit. I'm quite good at tiffin and brownies but it's pot luck mostly and they're pretty basic. I'm not crafty and can't make things. I can't iron so I can't take your ironing in.

So, how do I make my millions?

I won thirty quid on a scratch card today after spending eight quid on the cards. Then I proceeded to spunk that thirty quid on more scratch cards and only made back four quid so I'm minus four quid so far today.

Make me a millionaire, Mumsnet.

YouTube, online influencer think Mrs hinch... Shes now a brand name..
Something that will grab people's attention and be interesting.
Lottery games are designed so you will always be the loser, I got addicted to one of their online games one night out of boredom and put in 100 quid, I lost that hundred quid. Never again. So if tempted to buy a scratch card make sure it's one's and if you lose, don't buy another if you win, same applies.

CoRhona · 27/01/2021 22:58

I like Tiffin but probably not a million quid's worth...

ThreadKillxr · 27/01/2021 23:05

Are you sure??? It keeps well in the freezer, will last you ages.

ThreadKillxr · 27/01/2021 23:06

I'm not influencer material, I'm fat and I've got dodgy teeth.

Are you married? If not, you could look for a rich sugar daddy cum husband and go from there 🤷

Probably the quickest way Grin

Ghostella · 27/01/2021 23:08

Write a book

ThreadKillxr · 27/01/2021 23:09

I am married but rest assured, if the opportunity did arise, I'd be LTB faster than you can say sugar daddy! 😏

OP posts:
ThreadKillxr · 27/01/2021 23:11

@Ghostella already doing that. It's the only thing I'm even half good at and enjoy! It's a work in progress but I don't feel massively optimistic if I'm honest.

YouTube, online influencer think Mrs hinch... Shes now a brand name..

Please don’t Op - the world does not need another Mrs Hinch (we didn’t need even one!). She pisses me off - I’ve been using zoflora for 20 years!

What about Bitcoin? (I have no idea what it is but I keep hearing how people are making loads of dosh buying and selling it)

Is it too late to get on the face mask wagon? Scented face masks etc? I would try to cash in on the COVID crisis somehow (well, I would if I could be arsed..)

ThreadKillxr · 27/01/2021 23:15

@BeautifulStar Hey, no worries there. There will be no influencing or hinching here. Very, very, very NOT me.

Don't think face masks are my thing either. Not craft. Not even in the slightest.

And anything financial is probably not me either sadly. I tried the matched betting thing, which is often suggested here, spent hours reading about it and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't make sense of it.

I have a business idea that I always thought would do well. Basically a service for old people where they or their families pay for someone to come and take them out every so often. Maybe go to the cinema, to play bingo or just go for some lunch.

My grandma is elderly and slowly most of her friends have died so she’s quite lonely. We visit as often as possible but she’s quite far away so I’m very aware a lot of the week she’s on her own with her knitting. She has carers go in twice a day but they’re often random and only have time to do their job, nothing more and she could really do with the company. I’d definitely pay someone to take her out for a couple of hours a week and befriend her.

I think you’d have to run it like an agency to make decent money rather than actually be doing the befriending yourself.

Sadly I’m too busy with my actual job and other small business to look into it properly so you can have it for free Grin

Bargebill19 · 27/01/2021 23:24

@Turnedouttoes

Age concern run such a scheme. It is charged for.

Turnedouttoes · 27/01/2021 23:25

Okay perhaps not such a good idea then 😂 I’ll look into that though, thanks @Bargebill19

Leannethom85 · 27/01/2021 23:30

Actually it was only a suggestion for the op no need to get your knickers in a knot.

ThreadKillxr · 27/01/2021 23:43

Uhhhh, annnnnd I'm still not a millionaire. C'mon, Mumsnet, what do you want from me?!?

I could send everyone on MN a selfie; 50p per pic? That sounds reasonable right?

If it was that easy everyone would be one by now.

altiara · 28/01/2021 00:26

I’ll buy half a millions worth of tiffin (I can’t pay up front sorry!) and I’ll go and visit toes granny, can she teach me to knit?

TaraR2020 · 28/01/2021 02:49

I don't think you'll become a millionaire through knitting or crochet! Grin

ThreadKillxr · 28/01/2021 08:32

Had two votes for tiffin so far but I don't think that'll make me millions.

OP posts:
ButtWormHole · 28/01/2021 09:11

OnlyFans

ThreadKillxr · 28/01/2021 09:23

I did consider that but I don't think it's for me. I'd have to find enough people with a kink for cellulite, dodgy teeth and a lockdown haircut.
