Oodie might take a while but they are toasty.
Kuddly had fairly low prices recently and I think they ship from within the UK so they will come quicker possibly.

TheLifeAndDeathBrigade · 25/01/2021 14:41

Yes, these were the two I was looking at. Seems to be lots of cheapo ones on Amazon too but I do wonder what the quality will be like Confused

I bought cheap ones from amazon for DC at Christmas & they have been so well used so far!

I would say they're normal dressing gown thickness but lovely & cosy. I have one too (also a cheap one) & it really warms me up if I'm chilly.

The seam of the front pocket came undone on ds's one after a few washes but nothing a 5 minute stitch up couldn't sort out. All the others have been fine.

I paid £10-11 each for them & highly recommend them to everyone.

Student133 · 25/01/2021 14:47

Bought some of the cheap ones of Amazon as presents, they've all been great so don't bother with the proper ones.

BarbaraofSeville · 25/01/2021 14:50

I got a Kuddly before Christmas and it's lovely quality, very warm and was delivered in about 2 days.

I saw some online comparison with Oodies and it said there was barely any difference and if anything, the kuddly felt a bit nicer quality.

I think the main advantage of the Oodies is that there's lots of different designs, which is a bit meaningless if most of them are out of stock, or they won't be delivered until the cold weather has passed.

CoffeeBeansGalore · 25/01/2021 14:53

I have a jml Huggle Hoodie. Bought adult dds a Comfy each for Christmas. Both lovely. The genuine ones come in boxes, not ribboned parcels if you are looking at sellers pics.

EndoplasmicReticulum · 25/01/2021 14:55

Oodies take ages to arrive, have been waiting 4 weeks so far.

funnyoldonion · 25/01/2021 14:57

So glad I got my oodie last year, it's worth every penny but you might want to get a cheapie if you need it quicker!

Seagullslanding · 25/01/2021 14:58

i bought 2 cheap ones from amazon for my DD's . They are fab....wash really well.....just get smelly as they refuse to take them off.

MustardMitt · 25/01/2021 14:58

My Oodies were ordered in October and I cancelled it 24 Dec as they told me they couldn’t guarantee delivery in less than a month.

So I wouldn’t order from them as you need them fast.

SoupDragon · 25/01/2021 15:02

I bought DD the Sienna one from Amazon - this one I also tied to buy myself the silver version on this same page and it wasn't as nice but is really warm and still lovely. DD's black one is beautifully made though and double thickness.

BarbaraofSeville · 25/01/2021 15:03

Whichever one you buy, I'd take the 'flash sale mega discounts' prices with a pinch of salt. Any time I've looked at the websites before or after I've bought mine, they've been on some sort of deal.

I predict that the sale will probably end some time in June or July when almost no-one in the northern hemisphere will be buying them, only to start again shortly afterwards, to attract those who like to get ahead with their Christmas shopping.

damnitnotlistening · 25/01/2021 15:03

I bought two from Sweetty!!! Omg. I'm so mad at myself. They are nothing like the picture. They are small and thin just generally appalling. When I emailed them they offered me 15% back and said they were out of stock of the original hoodies. I asked for a refund and they offered me a discount on next purchase. I emailed for a refund and it would appear they have blocked me.
Fuming at them and myself for not asking for recommendations! They're still selling. Jokers!!!

I bought this exact one for DD for Christmas, from Online Home Shop. The quality is lovely, it's on the list to buy another for DD2 for her birthday.

GrowThroughWhatYouGoThrough · 25/01/2021 15:10

Oodie 100% we all have one there amazing

TickTockBaby · 25/01/2021 15:19

I was gifted a 'komfy' from DH at Christmas and I love it.

I've heard Oodie dispatch/ delivery time is very long.

LadyCatStark · 25/01/2021 15:25

DS and I are very happy with our Sienna ones from Online Home Shop. We get too hot in ours!

ScrapThatThen · 25/01/2021 15:28

I've gone with a heated throw, an electric blanket for my knees Grin

Afonavon · 25/01/2021 15:31

Our Oodies took forever to arrive. It’ll be Spring by the time they come, if anything like our experience with them. They are, however really lovely. Not worth the full price though! If you need one asap, I’d look elsewhere.

ZackaryQuack · 25/01/2021 15:36

Dh got me "the comfy" from amazon for Christmas, it's thicker and cosier than a dressing gown.
He actually wears it more than I do, only thing I have noticed is that at the neck the stitching has come loose, so I need to stitch it back up soon, this could be because DH has a fat head rather than it being poorly made though 😂

GinGella · 25/01/2021 15:38

Sienna one from Amazon here for DD for Christmas..it has to be peeled off her for the washing. No quality issues at all. Keep meaning to get myself one it's lovely!

DipSwimSwoosh · 25/01/2021 15:38

I have a cheap one from Amazon. It is so thick and warm. I use it when my toddler wakes in the night and I have to sit next to her. Also sometimes when working from home. But it's too warm to wear for long! It has got a small hole but as it's not a fashion item and no one sees me in it I don't mind.

Springersrock · 25/01/2021 15:41

I bought Oodies for my kids for Christmas and a cheapo Amazon one for myself

I can’t tell any difference between them. They’ve all been worn to death and washed a few times and no problems

DiscustinHunAmFummin · 25/01/2021 15:48

I have a grey sienna one from Amazon. My six year old steals it and yesterday DP fell asleep in it. It's lovely if your sat still but once I'm chasing my toddler around I'm too hot in it!

Blueberryblueberry · 25/01/2021 15:48

I have one from amazon and it's amazing. My house is bloody freezing too and I love it. It's replaced my dressing gown in the evening and I also put it on when WFH. I try and remember to take it off for meetings but have attended a few in it and apologised Grin I can't really see how an official oodie would be hugely better,? Mine was about £20/25?
