18th Birthday present ideas for my daughter

Hello All,
I am after a few ideas from you, if that’s ok. I fear I have lock down brain, and my imagination has left me...
My daughter is turning 18, and I wanted to buy her 18 lots of 18 presents, but I’m getting stuck.

So things like 18 x scratch cards
18 x food stuff (ie biscuits, 2 min noodles)
They need to be relatively cheap, and also useful.
Does anyone have any ideas ?

Not part of the "18" idea, but either a car or (if she doesn't have a licence) driving lessons

Disposable razors if she shaves. Knickers. Bags of Haribo. Cans of Coke or alcopops or whatever teenagers drink nowadays. A pack of 20 biros with two removed (I would have found that hilarious).

Tell us more about her, her hobbies, job, studying...

Good point. You’re at risk of spending a couple of hundred pounds on tat which might be better off going on driving lessons.

So you're going to buy her 324 presents?! Why not just one amazing thing she'd love worth £1000 or whatever it would have cost you.
What does she like??

Does she drink a lot? 18 crate of beer? 18 flavoured gin or miniatures?

I think that's a crazy idea. Just get her 18 presents that she will like and appreciate.

My daughter is turning 16 and I’ve got her Gucci earrings and bracelet.

Maybe better to get her something special than lots of things

Make a Spotify playlist with 18 songs, maybe the song that was number 1 when she was born, a song she loved as a small child, one you always sing in the car etc. And then get her this key ring. How about

18 different 'vouchers' e.g 1 for a foot rub, 1 for breakfast in bed etc
18 pairs of cheap earrings from 'wish'
18 pairs of socks
18 mini bath bombs
18 fun size chocolates
18 eyeshadow set
£18 voucher (Costa/ starbucks or whatever)
18 th birthday champagne glass
18th birthday balloons

You can have 18 of some things/items and have the number 18 on others ??

Honestly just get her one really special thing.

This seems like a very wasteful idea for a gag that’ll last 10 minutes.

Oh no please don’t do this op.I’m sure she’d much rather have a lovely gift. My ds2 turns 18 next week abs he has a Gucci ring and a Gucci bracelet and some fancy pants limited edition nikes that he’ll be thrilled with.

Don’t buy her a load of landfill. Driving lessons, travel voucher to spend when we’re allowed to travel, or something she will really value.

You can't do this anymore but I used to save up £18 pound coins from their year of birth. I did it for my eldest 30th as well.

I'd only go with usable stuff, so socks, packs of noodles/crisps, drink sachets etc or something similar wrapped up would be funny. If there's certain products/candles she likes, you could get her a nice gift box and make up eighteen of them.

I wouldn't go for overkill though.

A nice gold bracelet. Something she can keep for life and maybe pass down to her daughter in the future x

She has a neurological condition, so unfortunately won’t ever be able to drive, so although it’s a good idea, just not for her.
Also, the thought behind the masses of presents is due to lockdown, we won’t be able to go out or do anything, so I thought it might be a bit of fun.

I’m trying to get away from ‘tat’ that’s why I’m reaching out for ideas. She likes being outside, walking. I am also thinking themes, like one of the poster suggested pens, that’s also useful for her. For her ‘main’ present I was going to get 17 carrots, wrapped and for the 18, inside a carrot shaped package would be an 18 carat necklace.

I love the carrot/carat idea
