Motivation a bit lacking! Just want January over and done with.

Fed up - woke up with my left shoulder and right knee hurting for no apparent reason and then my back went into spasm in the shower, so I'm hobbling around like a third-rate Quasimodo.

Utterly utterly depressed.

I woke up this morning thinking I'm wishing my life away, already planning Saturday on Monday and have decided I'm going to make each day count. Not sure how this will work out but it's a positive thought.

Not too bad here.

Very envious of some friends who live in Dubai though. They’ve both had their vaccines this morning. Both younger than me too!

I hate mondays. Other then that, feeling fine. I always have lovely meals on monday to compensate the fact that it's monday.... because it's Blue Monday today I allowed myself to have a cheese pizza with honey for dinner

It's not really Blue Monday in a sense, there are nearly two weeks until payday for those paid at the end of the month.

I had a zoom meeting this morning. And now am back in bed.

As well as having no motivation, my car wouldn't start as I had left the internal light on over the weekend. It now has a new battery and I'm down £75.

Fucking awful, dd has possible BPD and is impossible at the moment. Sick to death of her violent outbursts, sick to death of walking on eggshells, sick to death of her not helping herself. Sick to death of everything really.
I am sympathetic to her not being well but it’s taking it’s toll on me.

I'm happy however my 8 year old has cried many times this morning! I'm back at work tomorrow and kids are back at school, so.im.lookinh forward to routine again. I'm treating us too a McDonald's milkshake to cheer up the 8 year old soon.

Just to say, Blue Monday is a marketing invention - there's no scientific reason to be any more downhearted than on any other Monday.

The same will be true of next Monday, except that if you assume payday happens at the end of the month, it'll be even longer since the last one.

Annyyyyway, moving on, my thoughts are with people struggling on this crappy day of the year.

Personally, I cannot wait for the sprng for a number of reasons.

At the end of my tether trying to homeschool a special needs child. She cannot cope with online lessons it's making her very angry and disoriented. So found some paper based work to print out. Had to relearn how to do long multiplication 😂 so I could teach her. Spent about half hour learning best way to teach it to her, only for her to turn around and say she already knows it, spend 10 mins filling all the questions in. Gets them all right.

She's teaching ME long division tomorrow 👌

Haven't managed to get out of bed yet. Sick, tired, dizzy, pretty sure I'm severely anaemic, but waiting on blood test results.

So much to do, lying here battling with guilt that I'm not doing it, and unable to just give into it and rest. So feeling pretty blue.

@Purplethrow that sounds really tough by BPD do you mean Bi Polar Disorder or Borderline personality disorder. Really horrible either way but treatments are available and hopefully a diagnosis will lead to help.
