Heating temperature

Just wondering what temperature you set your heating to in the winter? My DH doesn’t feel the cold so thinks 19 degrees C is ok. They rest of the family think the house is cold. We aren’t waltzing round in T-shirts either, I wear wool jumpers and a vest top most days.Just wondering if I’m being pathetic

Serena1977 · 17/01/2021 21:13

Mine is 24 in the living room and I'm feeling just right

Bytheriogrande · 17/01/2021 21:14

22 here. But I've also had the fire on...

Twospaniels · 17/01/2021 21:15

19/20 deg
It’s just right
We’re wearing jumpers but not overly wrapped up

ExclamationPerfume · 17/01/2021 21:15

18 degrees here.

DeeCeeCherry · 17/01/2021 21:16
  1. I grew up in a cold house, it was horrible. I resolved that when I got a place of my own I would never go through that again. Home = comfort.
HelloCanYouHearMe · 17/01/2021 21:17

The thermostat is set to 21.5, but the rads are set to 5 which is about 24° Im led to believe

Apparently i'm 'nesh' according to DP

Mamacherie · 17/01/2021 21:19

Haha I feel you. I have this same argument with my DH on a weekly basis!

Therealone · 17/01/2021 21:19

19 in the day and 20 at night when we're sitting down.
Off at night

Crocky · 17/01/2021 21:20

19 degrees.

Slub · 17/01/2021 21:20

18 Can't stand being too hot!

Haybo26 · 17/01/2021 21:21

21.5 here

Ifailed · 17/01/2021 21:22
  1. I can always put on a sweater or a rug.
Slub · 17/01/2021 21:22

It gets turned off completely at around 6pm to allow bedrooms to cool down.

tinyradish · 17/01/2021 21:22

21.5 seems to be just perfect for us.

Chewbecca · 17/01/2021 21:22

20 in the daytime when I'm WFH, 21.5 in the evening. I still sit under a blanket at 21.5 but DH sits in his boxers.

APurpleSquirrel · 17/01/2021 21:23

Between 21-22 - which is fine for us. I too feel the cold & hate it.

Herja · 17/01/2021 21:24

Normally about 18/19 at most, often lower. It got up to 22 today while I was cooking, DS got so hot he was visibly flushed and had to take his top off to cool down Grin. He doesn't do well in summer.

ExcavatorHater · 17/01/2021 21:25

15-18 depending on what I'm doing! Hate being hot, and hate breathing in warm air. It just seems like stale air for some reason Confused DP moans at me for leaving the windows open even at this time of year, I think I need to set a tent up in the garden and be done with it Grin

Brandaris · 17/01/2021 21:26

14-17
19 would have me sweating!

twobrews · 17/01/2021 21:27

18 unless there's snow or ice and it's still too hot upstairs.
Over Christmas DD was home and kept putting it up to 21 or 22 it was boiling. We settled on 19 and she put trousers on with her oodie Hmm

OverByYer · 17/01/2021 21:28

If I set my thermostat below 19 my heating wouldn’t kick in. Mine is at 20

FlyingByTheSeatof · 17/01/2021 21:28

We've all got Ooodies which are very warm so our heating is now turned down to 16 and 7 at night.

blobbyface · 17/01/2021 21:29

17

MojoJojo71 · 17/01/2021 21:29

19 is perfect for me. Off completely at 9pm as I don’t like my bedroom hot
