Share with me your recent retail therapy.

I bought these fairy lights from Cable and Cotton. I love the glow they've bought to my kitchen.

A cow! Grin Like this. I'm so chuffed because I am redecorating my bedroom and am doing a adult (No, not that kind!) animation theme (Why not, people do it with Disney.) and included is South Park. Spotted the beauty that is a South Park cow and really wanted it for my bedroom. Bidding finished at 7.14pm tonight and I was just pipped to the post at the last few seconds! Was gutted. Did a bit of digging around on 'T net and found one in a Swedish store online. On the way to me now is my South Park cow. Can't wait. Grin
Also, thanks for this thread and fellow posters, it's really cheering to read. Smile

Doh, messed up the link! lol Like this

73kittycat73 · 19/01/2021 20:05

Also, should have explained I was bidding on Ebay. Sorry about that. Too excited to type! lol Grin

@SaltyTootsieToes I feel a crepe brûlée night coming on round yours!

Angliski · 19/01/2021 20:13

*creme!

Elton John’s autobio Me.

My DH and I read it aloud to each other over Christmas! It’s laugh out loud funny and touching. Great stories of times with Freddie Mercury and John Lennon too.

Michelle Obama’s Becoming.

Very inspiring and interesting. A real insight.

Lots of interactive noises books and flap board books for the DS. I love the determination with which he flips the pages and how he smiles when he sees a picture he likes. Our favourite is a book with several kinds of bird song, by Nosy Crow

Heated eye mask, it has a 20/40/60 minute timer so I wear it for naps and to fall asleep with at night (I'm not ancient but need naps to get over a virus!)

How does that work then? Does it heat around the eyes? Asking as I've never heard of a heated one before. If it's relaxing, I'm in! Smile

Yarn!

I've recently taught myself to crochet & have several projects lined up. Apart from one for the two yarn cakes...I'm dithering over what to make myself Grin

I have some birthday money left & am quite taken by the embroidery kits posted so may treat myself to one of those, or check out Etsy as another poster suggested :)

BrassicaBabe · 19/01/2021 22:50

Ooh, excited here. Back at the beginning of lockdown (the first one) I bought a sweaty Betty hoody. I've lived in the thing! It's turned into my lockdown uniform. (Ok, maybe not something to be proud of Grin) But I've just seen it's now available in red. I've treated myself!

RainySaturday · 20/01/2021 09:02

I bought a tenor horn which I have listed after for years.

Timeforatincture · 20/01/2021 10:48

@80sMum Thanks for the tip!

I went straight on to the Lands End website and did likewise!

Looking forward to slotting in some hardcore comfortable loafing about.

lobsterkiller · 20/01/2021 11:07

A new boiler! I moved house in November and I knew the boiler needed replacing but I hoped to get a winter out of it. I gave in within four weeks and replaced it as it couldn't cope. I now have a boiler that provides hot water and heat very efficiently and I have got my Nest thermostat back up.

polkadotpjs · 20/01/2021 11:42

@squishedblueberry where's the hoodie from please. And which pjs. I need new stuff!

UpShutTheFuck · 20/01/2021 13:33

A new cross stitch kit (a present, but I chose it)

It's much bigger than I expected so I have had to order a frame to do it on, what with not actually being in possession of more than two arms!

What have you bought recently that has brought you joy?
