Share with me your recent retail therapy.

I bought these fairy lights from Cable and Cotton. I love the glow they've bought to my kitchen.

Stopped off on the way home from work in the pouring rain for a bag of chips from the chippy. Sat in the car listening to Spandau Ballet and scoffed the lot.

HeronLanyon · 18/01/2021 11:25

New soft warm and beautiful socks to pad about the house in. Old ones were becoming scratchy and uncomfortable.
Some little lights I’ve got up in my sitting room. Cozy and warming.
A rare and hard won Waitrose delivery slot Grin can finally get a few things only they sell. Only been trying for weeks !

Christmas present, but it was on my list so I reckon it counts:

Rain Steam and Speed jigsaw

Costacoffeeplease · 18/01/2021 14:25

I’ve also just started an adult painting by numbers, it is really hard, but I’m enjoying it

CoodleMoodle · 18/01/2021 14:27

50 Staedtler fibre tip pens for colouring. DH bought me the set of 20 for my birthday (on my wishlist) back in April, and I swore I wouldn't let the kids touch them. Of course DD took them over... So I bought myself the tin of 50.

I've just started learning how to draw and they're so lovely for colouring. Neither child is allowed to touch them. (For now!)

Imissmoominmama · 18/01/2021 14:32

Oh, a Boot Buddy for cleaning my walking boots!

Titsinknicks · 18/01/2021 14:41

@todgerstrunk ...why?! Not what I expected when I clicked the link!!!

Inextremis · 18/01/2021 15:17

A multipack of Yorkshire Toast and Jam tea. I love it :)

Jemimapuddleduk · 18/01/2021 15:34

Velvetiser, various candles, 2 huge faux fur grey throws from tkmaxx, an egg poacher pan, Powell craft nightshirt and pj’s, a cocktail book (we are trying a different recipe every Friday), various cookbooks (hairy bikers, great British bake off, GHK, eat cook repeat, tray meals), scamp and dude tracksuit, dress and trainers. All of these make me very happy indeed. Mostly Christmas and birthday gifts.

Bearnecessity · 18/01/2021 15:40

An oxo julienne peeler from John Lewis at the recommendation of other mumsnetters...bloomin marvellous gadget.

That's a beautiful print.

If you aren't familiar with her, check out Anita Klein. Your print reminded me of some of her work.[/quote]
waves to another Anita Klein fan

I’ve never met anyone in real life who’s heard of her. I have several of her prints, all originals. I love them.

Greenandblue123 · 18/01/2021 16:41

These little felt bee earrings www.etsy.com/uk/listing/925246972/needle-felted-bee-hanging-earrings?ref=shop_home_active_2&frs=1&crt=1

They are the cutest. I keep looking at them at smiling Smile

UpShutTheFuck · 18/01/2021 16:42

oooh - hi there @LunaNorth Smile

We were lucky enough to go to a talk she gave at her print workshop (many moons ago).

I really love all the family ones, but my favourite is this one and I have a limited edition print of it.

Whatthefunk · 18/01/2021 16:45

My memory foam wellies. Like walking on air Smile

Labobo · 18/01/2021 16:46

Some size 12 tops and size 10 jeans. I was size 16 last summer.

Labobo · 18/01/2021 16:47

@Whatthefunk - where did you get the memory foam wellies? They sound brilliant.

80sMum · 18/01/2021 16:57

Four pairs of stretchy cord leggings from the Land's End sale. They're sooo comfy - and I can now relegate my old pairs of Ronhill joggers (which I've worn virtually every day since last April!) to "garden and muddy walks only)!

Whatthefunk · 18/01/2021 17:01

I got the wellies online, from a company called Ryedale

Freshprincess · 18/01/2021 17:02

Phillips Lumea. Bought for Black Friday and just did my third treatment. Made a big difference to my tache already and I noticed last night how much more smoother my legs feel.

And the other end of the cost scale, picked up a long line cardi in Aldi last week. It has some wool content and is so warm, I can wrap it around and it covers my bum. I’ve really struggled with being cold WFH and this has made a big difference. I probably wouldn’t wear it out of the house, and I went a size bigger in case it shrinks. But for £12 it’s a bargain.

I got some birthday and Christmas money burning a whole in my pocket so this thread could be dangerous.

longtompot · 18/01/2021 17:18

So many tabs open to look at these gorgeous things! Love love the needlepoint @Walkley18 😍 I also love the Cable & Cotton lights @BrassicaBabe. I've been meaning to get some a while, but can never decide on what colours.

Our most recent purchase is our wood burner which we love very much. Especially now we have some decent wood bought from a local guy, who is also a builder whose work we've seen around but didn't realise was him, so a great contact for the future!

I bought a moon gazing hare ornament from fb marketplace which I just love www.amazon.co.uk/Leonardo-Collection-Bronze-Ornament-Wildlife/dp/B06XC15NG9?tag=mumsnetforu03-21
