I once went to the cupboard, and there was random cat food, and tins of dog food, but nothing like the kind I usually buy, which is all dry stuff.
Then I opened the food cupboard, and there was so many packs of biscuits and chocolate bars, and boxes of cakes!
Just so many things I never buy, and just so many of them
I’d been out, and my husband had put the shopping away, so I asked where it all had come from, genuinely mystified.
You bought it all he said, well of course I hadn’t bought any of the sweet stuff, or that dog and cat food, but we did seem to have all my shopping.
I checked what I’d bought, listed all the extra stuff, and rang the supermarket
They said to keep it. I must have asked a few times if they were sure.
My children were really pleased, as was my husband because there was so much chocolate.
I felt awful, as there was obviously someone out there, with a really sweet tooth, whose animals wouldn’t be fed either.
I assumed it belonged to an old lady, as there were old fashioned cakes and chocolate bars, lots of mr kiplings, and picnic and penguin biscuits, but they could have been anyone’s I guess.
In my husband’s defence, he said he thought I’d gone mad, buying so much cake and sweet stuff, but he assumed it was ours.
