What do you silently judge people for?

I would say
Talking on public transport , wish they would be quiet.

OP posts:
TheWelshposter · 15/01/2021 17:39

It's my only option 😫

AppleCinnamonVanilla · 15/01/2021 17:40

@WiseOwlRelaxing

For lacking self awareness. Eg, you defend a small boundary and they feel embarrassed but then quickly project that back on to you with anger and the silent treatment.

Insecure people who try to exclude somebody else from a group to increase their sense of belonging.

Hypicrites who post about the wrongs of society while being a bitch/bully to those in their own life.

Kissing up to those who validate them. Kicking down on those who are no use to them.

@WiseOwlRelaxing.

I take it with that description you know my work colleague Natalie then.

Nasty little piece of work 😡😕.

Sorry, had to get that out of my system..

Fembot123 · 15/01/2021 17:40

@LH1987 Don’t take this to heart at all, your baby will be fine, you sending them to a place set up to care whilst you work to provide not flinging them in a dungeon with a live love laugh sign on the wall and a fag in their mouth.

HmmSureJan · 15/01/2021 17:40

@NobodyPuttsBabyinCorner

Everything

I can usually nail someone's persona and interests by way they present themselves. It makes everything impossible to avoid judging!

But if you want specifics, people who:

Drive an SUV
Own a hot tub
Think they've 'visited' a country despite never leaving an all-inclusive resort
Gin drinkers
Display even the tiniest interest in reality tv
People with zero knowledge of the world, history, science etc
Brexit voters
Conservatives
Posting endless updates on Fb of all the 'must be seen' places they've been
Thinking 'gardening' is paving over the entire garden with slabs/astro turf
Mongrel (sorry 'pedigree') owners of cockapoos, labradoodles etc
Anyone with a Live Laugh Love type motif in their home
Like football

Basically.... feckless, uneducated, closed minded, narcissistic show offs

Sheesh, what a sour faced misery you sound.
SnowflakeCulture · 15/01/2021 17:41

I've come across many uneducated people that can't read or write - all English natives. How these people can't read or write in their own mother tongue is amazing. They have really crap parents.

Bambam2019 · 15/01/2021 17:41

People who believe everything they read on social media, for example “Ohhh ma god have you seen that now we can’t do/say X because (insert minority group here) don’t like it”. Usually shared by someone/a media outlet with a strong ‘them vs us’ mentality.
People who claim to be patriotic to “Great Britain” but know nothing about its history..!

What's wrong with using an Uber ?

Fembot123 · 15/01/2021 17:42

@TheWelshposter we inherited an aertex (spelling?) ceiling and it’s to expensive to fix so it stays.

Robbybobtail · 15/01/2021 17:42

I agree pebbledash is ugly but how can you judge for it? It’s usually a throwback from the 80’s and comes along with the house! Not a reflection of the people who live in it.

QueenoftheAir · 15/01/2021 17:43

smoking while pregnant/pushing a pram

Oh this. I find I want to try to flick the cigarette out of the person's hand. I don't, but gosh I want to. Smile

BaggoMcoys · 15/01/2021 17:43

@AlfredaLinguini

People who put ‘F’ on a Facebook post.
What does it mean? I'm not a big Facebook user and I've never seen "F" on anything.

I judge one of my friends for being a pushover. I feel bad about the fact I judge her but I can't help myself from doing it. She lets people walk all over her and doesn't stick to her boundaries. She acts like she's helpless about it all. I don't get pushy but I do try to encourage her sometimes. I just find it frustrating to witness.

I do judge negatively if I see a parent swearing at their dc. Swearing in front of them doesn't bother me so much, but if it's aimed directly at them I hate to see it. Also "performance parenting" when it's really over the top and especially when they look around to strange adults for acknowledgment. I find it grating and cringy.

I tend to notice women when they have a lot of fake things like those false eyelashes, contour style make up, big eyebrows and lips that look like they have filler. I judge them I suppose, in that I briefly wonder if they are happy with themselves or is their self esteem low or something. I don't spend loads of time thinking about it, and I don't assume they're a bad person, or they're going to be vain or anything like that, it's more of a fleeting thought I have. Probably offensive but I don't share my thoughts with anyone (not counting this post).

Bbq1 · 15/01/2021 17:43

People who don't understand punctuation and make a list of things, failing to insert a single comma. Their list then makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

Fembot123 · 15/01/2021 17:43

Ooh ohh People who make fun of people who’s mother tongue isn’t English for saying things incorrectly!! You can barely speak it yourself you potato and they are bilingual 😂

Nighthawker · 15/01/2021 17:43

People who don't dress their children appropriately for the weather, hate seeing kids out and about in just a thin hoodie or ballet style shoes with no socks when the temperature is below 5°c.

Ignore this I can see you've already answered .

SnowflakeCulture · 15/01/2021 17:43

NobodyPuttsBabyinCorner

That's most of the UK and council estates covered

I agree

NeedCoffeeToSurvive · 15/01/2021 17:44

Chewing loudly or with their mouth open, my mum does it and it's like watching a camel eat.

Itsokthanks · 15/01/2021 17:44

Parents that let thier little darlings get aways with bad behavior which affects others.
Smoking when pregnant or around children.
Putting babies or under 2's in childcare.
Over 40's having a baby.
Not caring about the environment.
Overweight people with overweight kids.

WiseOwlRelaxing · 15/01/2021 17:44

@AppleCinnamonVanilla sadly there is no shortage of these hyper sensitive blamers. They may not be full blown narcissists but they project their own shame on to those beneath them so quickly it'd make you dizzy!

They don't project shame on to those they perceive to be above them. Only on to those who they perceive to be beneath them. This hierarchy exists in their head but if you didnt respect it by questioning them at some point or by defending a reasonable boundary (that they would accept from people they perceive to be !bove them) then they unleash 7 levels of hell on to you in their wounded rahe

woodhill · 15/01/2021 17:45

@YesPleaseMary

Eating while walking down the street. People who spit in public. People who don’t pick up their dog’s shit.
Yes this
WiseOwlRelaxing · 15/01/2021 17:45

Rage

SnowflakeCulture · 15/01/2021 17:46

17:43Fembot123

Yes, those fools that can't speak their own language properly but find an accent amusing!

These people are usually opportunist racists that don't like prosperous minorities.

BoobyBetty22 · 15/01/2021 17:46

Parents that smoke around their kids
Kids drinking fizzy drinks
PJ wearing in public
Parents that give their kids tablets all the time
People that fob their kids off all the time so they can have ‘me’ time

Small thing- cheap Christmas and birthday cards

Stovetopespresso · 15/01/2021 17:46

people who yell at their toddlers, look round nervously in public and you just know its going to start up again at home

Jaypreen · 15/01/2021 17:47

This is about thing we silently make judgements about. Stop telling people off for thoughtcrimes please.
