I would say washing up for myself.

OP posts:

Sales, board games, small talk

Writing essays and reports. Years of complaints and advocating for children with additional needs has honed my writing skills but I despise doing it and put off as long as possible.

Twistiesandshout · 15/01/2021 18:40

playing with young children

Socialising , working the room , being good company - much , much prefer being at home.
Being told someone's secret / life story .
I also get given the more difficult client to sort out .

Cold calling - yuck!!

Being the person who can make conversation with anyone. I don't know whether I have a knack for working out what people like to talk about or if I'm more patient, but I'm basically the go-to buffer person for the tricky guest at weddings and parties.
Me too. Always get introduced to the shy people at gatherings and expected to get them through the ordeal. When really I'd rather be with me mates having a quick cig outside.
MrsBobDylan · 15/01/2021 20:38

Team work. I listen, come up with decent ideas, get along with everyone and work hard (and occasionally crack a joke). I hate it so much that I now work for myself, by myself and it is the BEST THING EVER!!!!!!

OP didn't come back to the thread. I'm still intrigued as to what it means to be good at washing up of all things!

Donotdelete · 17/01/2021 18:54

Creating a calm, cheerful and easy going atmosphere 95% of the time Grin

They start lots of threads but never return to them. Confused
Turnedouttoes · 17/01/2021 19:47

This thread has made me realise I don’t like doing things I’m not good at Blush

ProudAuntie76 · 17/01/2021 20:01

Chaperoning kids. Had to do it twice a year when DCs were in theatre shows and ended up getting paid to do it professionally on the side. Hated every second. Backstage is my least favourite place to be. The producers and theatre school owners thought I was “amazing” at it. Everytime they said that I wanted to slap them. I also chaperoned kids on school trips, residential etc. I “endured” it.

I’m also quite religious and people often made comments about me “making a good nun” when I was younger. I wanted to punch them too...or dance around in my underwear in the middle of the road to shock them. Very un-Christian of me.

twobrews · 17/01/2021 20:02

Cooking eggs, I hate eggs.

NameChange84 · 17/01/2021 20:06

Being “nice”/ “a lovely girl”/ “the girl next door”/a “good girl” FFS I’m a 36 year old woman not girls with a loud inner cynic and a dirty mind and no one knows

Being a “good listener” aka emotional dumping ground

Celibacy Blush will swap for aforementioned shagging

JohnMcCainsDeathStare · 17/01/2021 20:57

Yep. Emotional toilet is another skill I'm good at.

Someone to feel better by being with in that they can feel superior to.
up until the point they actually do some digging and find out what I really do

oldperson1 · 17/01/2021 22:22

Cleaning & Procrastinating ( sometimes one cancels out the other ☺️)

Lofari · 17/01/2021 23:12

Fillong in forms. Had to fill in so many for my son that now its second nature. I'm also very good at writing.
People now ask me for help with forms. I hate the damn things!

Knowing how to rotate furniture so it fits through narrow doorways and stairs. Knowing if something will fit before trying it.

It's a horrible talent to have because nobody (ie men) ever believes I know so they go ahead and insist on doing it their own way anyhow even though it's blindingly obvious to me it won't work.
