I would say washing up for myself.

Plumbing... I don't know how or why I know what I doing but I do. I don't hate doing it but it's certainly not my favourite thing, I'm also very good at catching animals (squirrels, birds, rodents etc) that come into buildings or escape. It's always me that gets called coz I'm so sensible 🙄

SarahAndQuack · 15/01/2021 07:29

Concentrating on work with a baby/toddler. I can hold my train of thought on something complicated around being cried over/puked over/weed on and around toddlers insisting on using my hair as a safety rope just fine. I wrote perfectly well-respected articles and most of a book doing it, and all the whiny men tell you it's impossible and they need to send their kids to school because they're keyworkers.

I fucking hate it, though, and I would love never to do it again.

I imagine this currently describes many of us!

@sarahc336

Listening to people moan Confused
Oh me too, me toooooooo. 😔

I wish I could stop them off loading but I’m too kind face to face.

Kljnmw3459 · 15/01/2021 07:41

Catastrophizing!

SmileyClare · 15/01/2021 07:44

Running

SmileyClare · 15/01/2021 07:45

Blow drying my hair.

AChickenCalledDaal · 15/01/2021 07:50

Remembering things. I have a very good memory for detail and my head is so full of detail that it stresses me out. It is an asset at work but they do sometimes treat me as a tame encyclopedia.

Livpool · 15/01/2021 08:38

When I was a young girl I did dance and loved tap. But I was better at ballet - which I hated. The school always pushed me to do ballet shows!

I ended up stopping it

hennybeans · 15/01/2021 09:44

Ironing.
I'm fast, precise, but God, is it boring.

OohKittens · 15/01/2021 09:51

Crochet, I can read any pattern and complete something like a virus shawl in under two hours. But I just don't like it at all.

Lots of things.
Cooking
Gardening
DIY/Decorating (REALLY hate this with a passion but do it anyway)
Sewing (as in making clothes using sewing machine)
Organisational skills (myself or others)
Cutting/Dyeing hair (DDs have me spending hours doing this, in various colours. Now have their friends asking if I’ll do theirs - don’t worry, I won’t!)
Art work (painting cards/cake decorating - that kind of thing)
Socialising/being the life and soul (I don’t look forward to it but do it anyway)
Basically, I’ve come to the conclusion that I enjoy hardly anything, and am a right miserable cow. Either that or I’m more depressed than I realise 🤷‍♀️

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 15/01/2021 11:21

Some give the dishes and cutlery what my nan used to call a " hairs lick"

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 15/01/2021 11:21

That’s known as ‘A lick and a promise here’ Grin

Goibisgo · 15/01/2021 11:23

Data analysis and statistics

Dailyhandtowelwash · 15/01/2021 11:29

My bloody job.

Hangingover · 15/01/2021 11:32

How can you be good or bad at washing up?

You haven't met my ex Angry

BogRollBOGOF · 15/01/2021 11:33

Tiling. I've tiled 7 bathrooms/ kitchens.

QueenPawPaws · 15/01/2021 11:37

Call centre jobs. I hate talking on the phone Confused
See also customer service. I don't like people Grin

I suspect the phone dislike came after the jobs though! I will do my absolute best to fix problems for someone and my boss is "you're great with customers" ConfusedConfused

trappedsincesundaymorn · 15/01/2021 11:44

Looking after other people's children.

Lampzade · 15/01/2021 13:51

Ironing - I hate it with a passion. My mum made me do all the ironing as a teenager because I was very good at it.
I only agreed to marry dh if he promised to do all the ironing when we married

40somethingJBJ · 15/01/2021 14:25

Sewing. I have a sewing machine, bought to do bits for myself, but I end up doing alterations for everybody and their dog and I bloody hate it.

TurkeyTrot · 15/01/2021 14:28

Teaching. FWIW, I'm not a teacher, but if I had a pound for every time someone said "Have you ever considered teaching? You'd be really good at it.", I'd be able to treat myself to something properly nice :)

PegasusReturns · 15/01/2021 14:30

Also shooting.

I’ve done it 6/7 times always at corporate type events. I’m a very good shot but I hate it. Particularly shooting a hand gun as opposed to a rifle.

MoltenLasagne · 15/01/2021 14:41

Being the person who can make conversation with anyone. I don't know whether I have a knack for working out what people like to talk about or if I'm more patient, but I'm basically the go-to buffer person for the tricky guest at weddings and parties.
